Storm causes major flooding, damage in Southern California

Crews are working to clean up the major debris and damage form an ongoing storm that hit Southern California on Feb. 1, 2024.

Irvine and surrounding area had no flooding. Yesterday was dry and cold same today. Tomorrow 90% of rain.

It probably wouldn’t be as much flooding if the state hasn’t cut budget on cruise that clean out the storm drains, I personally have seen quite a few blocked myself with debris, so where else does the water have to go down the street?

Yeah, let’s go ahead and just stop reporting the news because of the 1983 Elsinore. You know, there’s a lot of rain coming but we’re just not gonna report it because user PT 2QV2ZQ2RZYCQ2RCYCXY said that it’s stupid and man made so we should just stop telling people that inches of rain and in a arid desert region is all man made issues. Yes, if there wasn’t any infrastructure, it was just drained down the rivers and maybe flood the valleys, but there is houses and roads and everything else and the amount of rain that’s coming. It’s pretty hard to plan for. Weather happens to get over it.

very true like i have always said every home should be on stilks i have home on stilks never been flooded but here you go again flooded homes no one listens to me i know it all when it comes to flooding build high and insurance is lower

these rain showers aint nuthin. I lived through a couple of monsoons in Vietnam when I was a young marine there....now that was rain....constantly for a month or more.

It's also a crime that honest hardworking grown men risk their lives every single day performing highly dangerous jobs like tree work, high voltage electric work, highway maintenance, high-rise construction, bridge building, etc. barely making enough money to survive. In the meantime, big kids playing ball games ⚾️ 🏈 🏀⚽️ are getting several million dollars per year. This is absolutely wrong and disgraceful. No wonder no one wants to work. No wonder our power goes out every time we get a few little puffs of wind. No wonder we're having so much flooding devastation and total devastation of entire communities from tornadoes and fires. Now all it takes is some rain and our power will go out. Serious financial misallocation. Don't forget the national drug crisis. Fentanyl is rampant. There are simple solutions, but not enough people truly care.

Yep that's what happens when you pave over all the ground that used to soak up the rain water ! It becomes run off and floods ! Man made problem and easily solved if you stop diverting the water and build roads and parking lots to allow it to soak into the ground . But who would want to pay for that right ? Even though spending a few million now would save billions later !

Rain is wet, Sugar is sweet. Clap your hands, & Stomp your feet. Everybody, Everybody knows. When love calls you got to go. You all complain now but once the reverse effects take affect you all will cry for Rain. In Oct of 2023 I went to reverse the spell I placed in 2016 when there was a drought. I never received a thank you from any California Government officials. You all give it to God himself. He is not down on earth in the trenches. He is out there on Pluto sitting there doing nothing at all...
