Yes yes another one. Gotta keep these coming. Disappeared for a sec there! We need these!

Haha sorry, but real life does get in the way sometimes! I'm not like the other ball review people. I don't bowl on the pro tour and I don't own or run a pro shop, so I'm kind of at the mercy of what my free time looks like.

Good stuff guys. Nice to hear the running commentary about the ball.

We try to give the information, but still keep it pretty light. Sometimes we're even funny haha

Interesting that you guys are talking about shining it. Basically 100% of the people I've known myself included that threw it hated the surface as already being far too shiny and hit it with some pad to just dull it down a little.

It's all a matter of perspective, I guess. I find the surface is a little more polished than a sheen surface would be, but a little more sheen than a polished surface would be. Like... 85% polished, if that means anything. I always look at it in degrees. There's different degrees of polished, just like there's different degrees of dull surface.

@@JeffTeachesBowling I've heard the extreme reaction has more to do with how the surface was prepared before the polish was applied, where as before it would be 1500 grit then polish the reactagloss is applied to a surface at 4k making it extremely late and responsive to friction. Just what I've heard... I personally found if i missed in it went straight and couldn't read at all. Hit it with a wet 1500 for just a second for some teeth and now its still late but way more forgiving. I rev much harder than you guys do.

@@dougbarnes753 that's why it's important for bowlers to make sure they customize the surface of their equipment to match their game and what they want the ball to do. Probably the most underused adjustment (obviously not during competition) and one of the most effective also. A friend's of mine used to be a storm staffer on the Tour and said he'd sand down and reshine everything he drilled, as a matter of course.

Great vid. Thought about getting a Fate. You guys should do a colab with Charles Hutchins. Hes at sawgrass too. The hype vs Jeff vs Carlos. Battle royal. Keep up the great content. Love your reviews
