Many years ago , I just had a baby by caesarean section was in the house newly just out of the hospital and heard one if my goats hollering (Anglo Nubian and they do holler lol ) look out to find him stuck up a tree his leg firmly stuck in the tree. I had to go out pick this goat up , bigger than what big boy is and haul him up and out of that tree , u never know your own strength till one of your babies r in trouble . Anywho why I mention this story was watching ringo ripp through those tree branches worried he was going to get stuck but luckily he is on the ground and not up in the air .and that memory just popped in my head . Goats do love to climb lol and ripp things apart . I love goats .

Lester, thank you for a different perspective on life with goats. Although in my youth I spent time on a farm we didn't have goats. I agree it is sad they tend to cease fighting to survive when they experience medical problems but they are certainly entertaining. Your babies are certainly loved and well cared for. Thank you for sharing your journey with your many fans.

Was waiting for Ringo to get branch stuck in horns a haul it away lol. I remember from a previous video when goats were on hay pile eating such limbs. U mentioned at that time if they eat too much they’ll get the poops. Considering how many there are here and the size of branch they babies will be ok❤️🇨🇦

A township in New Jersey advertises for a local goat farm for people to bring their live Christmas trees when they are finished with them, to the goat farm for the goats to eat. A co-worker who also has many goats, said that she will not allow her goats to eat any pine trees because she lost a few goats that way in the past. I say, that each goat owner knows their goats! Hopefully your littles will be fine from eating the pine limb. Keep doing what you're doing, Lester! I love ALL of your videos.

The craziest thing just happened! I smelled pine tree! There isn't one within a mile from me- I could smell one right after Newton had his lil piece. Not any time prior with Ringo and the others eating it. Now I'm sitting on the porch sniffing like crazy to find the smell again. I live in a neighborhood in Florida where houses don't have pine trees! They are well over a mile away! This is the weirdest thing. It's fun to see the babies enjoying the snack time! They made quick time nibbling it down. Love Cornholio joining the gang and announcing his presence! He misses Gloria and hangs out with Lester and the littles more. Thanks for the video!❤💗💓💕💖💞💘💌💝

Wow Lester! I did not know that about goats and sheep. That they will give up on life so readily. That must make yours and family's job so much harder, to spend all the time and bottle feeding, loving and nurturing them. But most of all the attachments you all get for them. The heart break you all must feel when you do lose a fur baby. I could not do what you do, it would be too hard for me. Im a tough old bird, but I dont do well loosing a love one. More power to you Lester and family. You are a true spirit.

I never knew that about goats and mortality until you mentioned it when Huck got injured. It makes sense though about the high fertility rate vs mortality. I have lived around goats, but not very much and they were not mine. I have however raised rabbits and rats and both have high fertility and mortality rates, so it really hit me when you said that and made me think of my bunnies and pet rats. I used to breed and show both. Especially rabbits, if they get sick they have a hard time recovering. And also shock can easily kill them. Very sad because all these animals always have such wonderful bubbly personalities. As if because they know their time is short they will enjoy it to the fullest.
