Stormalong Bay Tour, La Cava del Tequila and a Great Day at Epcot - DVC Member Vlog

Our last day staying at Disney's Beach Club Villas DVC resort at Disney World was so much fun! We took advantage of the extra hours for deluxe resort guests. We got to ride Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind, had an unplanned visit to La Cava del Tequila in the Mexico pavilion at Epcot and had a wonderful afternoon exploring Stormalong Bay, the fantastic pool which is shared by Disney's Beach Club and Yacht Club resorts. Such a fun video!! As far as prioritizing pool time, it depends on the season. In the winter we may only hit the pool once a trip, but in the hot months we’ll usually get in a few times. Also, it depends on if we’re somewhere with a really cool pool versus something more basic. ✨

I always have a day or two with no park day planned. Could be pool. Could be shopping. Could be water park. If I was staying at beach club I'd DEFINITELY prioritize Stormalong Bay like you did!

For us it's usually a partial day. I love how easy it is to drop into Epcot from BC. One of my favorite things about staying at the DVC resorts is how much flexibility we get because they have some great locations.

The first ride we did on our first Disney trip was Guardians - and boy did it knock my 7 year old on his butt. He was soooooo motion sick for about 90 minutes (he literally just was lying on the floor at that merch shop across the way (Elements?) after the ride. I nearly called for medical assistance. Something about the darkness and the lateral/backwards movements? He was fine on every other ride we went on for the rest of the trip.

I can see how that could happen. I struggle with motion sickness in cars and if I ride Expedition Everest more that 2 times, it also knocks me out. That's why I recommend taking Dramamine or Bonine before riding Cosmic Rewind. I just take meds for motion sickness every day of my vacation, and I'm always okay. I'm so sorry to hear that your kid had a rough time.

La Cava del Tequila is one of my favorite places to get a drink in all of Disney World, I highly recommend the El Diablo margarita, if you haven’t tried it!!
