I hate that WW2 veterans are leaving us. They're the last men that fought for our freedom

As the last WW2 survivors pass away, more and more people are claiming "we fought the wrong enemy" unchallenged. What a disgrace.

In 2019 I went to Bayeux, the CWGC cemetery there. So meticulously cared for. One off the bucket list. I found the graves of so many men from my Regiment who fell between the 6th and the 10th. It was a solemn day. There’s little or nothing to be said. I’m not religious. But it was a pilgrimage. We owe them more than can ever be paid back.

Nothing but utmost respect for all those soldiers who fought valiantly and honorably, and gave up their lives for something greater than themselves.

They shall not grow old, as we are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. We wil remember them.

Went to Bayeux and viewed the museum and the cemetery. Poignant moment when I found William Armstrong R.A.M.C , same surname and a brother of the Corps. Left a little note in the book of remembrance

Not to forget the base WN62 at the US landing section "Omaha", where Private Severloh makes the landing a disaster with an MG42.

Why do we never celebrate the Italian campaign in 1943? Last I checked that's in Europe.

Yes it's very unfortunate isn't it. If the 14th Army in what was then Burma were the forgotten Army, then the Italian Campaign is the forgotten campaign. A terrible struggle was fought there. Lest we forget.

Of the many lost men on that day, and the days following, King Solomon said as a wise old man: “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.” There were many stories of miraculous deliverance among them. Only "in the judgment" will "the saints" come to understand the rules of engagement between Christ and Satan that allowed GOD to intervene for some of those men as He did for Desmond Doss.

The overwhelming feeling of the veterans was utter disgust at our two main parties support of a genocide being committed by Israel. They couldn’t believe how low the UK governments morals had dropped.

Thank you, but you must wonder if it was worth it given what politicians are doing to us now. Every school and uni student should be made to watch this and more. Lest we forget. 🦘🇦🇺👍
