For the Garth Nix question. Go Sabriel, and the Abhorsen trilogy (later installments have been solid, but the OG trilogy is fantastic). I’d also recommend his Keys to the Kingdom series if you want some great middle grade/YA fantasy with some unique worldbuilding. Shade’s Children is a great YA dystopian novel, A Confusion of Princes is a fun YA space opera, the 7th Tower series is a fun “dying earth” type story for kids, and the Booksellers series is pretty fun from what I’ve heard, haven’t read it yet. PLEASE, you, and EVERYONE, if you haven't already, embrace the One True Only God YHWH Jehovah, Only One Jesus Christ His Only Begotten Son and Lord and Savior of our souls and the Only One Holy Spirit. God is good. God is love. Jesus is Lord. Jesus IS coming. Your soul depends on it! I have seen God act in my life. He saved my soul, changed my heart, changed my mind, helped people through me, took care of people in my life, people I hurt before I found God. God is the only reason I was able to reconcile with my dad before he died. God worked through Jesus Christ to save our souls. Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins. Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and that God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved. Be baptized in The Holy Spirit, and if He wills, water as well. Repent of your sins, accept God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit into your heart, that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins. For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son Jesus Christ, that all who believe on Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus Christ is The Way, The Truth and The Life. No one comes to the Father Jehovah God but through Him. Not long after I got saved I prayed to God for help understanding the Holy Bible, and that same day someone knocked on my door asking me if I wanted to understand the Bible. The Holy Bible says, "love thy enemy", "turn the other cheek", "If your enemy is hungry, feed him", "if he is thirsty, give him a drink", "pray for those who persecute you", "do not repay evil for evil". LORD willing, all humans may commit sin of almost every kind (gay, straight), and that's wrong, and all humans sin, as God tells us through the The Holy Bible, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." The Holy Bible also says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

During your covering of Cara, you say "glaze" as if its some weird or unknown thing. Just here to say Glaze is a software that started development not long after AI image generators started becoming more widely used. I couldnt tell you how it works, but you run an image through Glaze and it messes the pixels of the image up just enough to confuse AI, without ruining the image. So if you have an image of a dog thats been glazed, supposedly if an AI image generator tried to use it, it wouldnt recognize a dog pattern in it. From what i hear, Cara is providing the ability to run Glaze over your images that you upload to Cara, i havent used it yet so i cant speak to how that works. Hope that helps!

Sabriel, yes, start there. And it can be read as a standalone. If you like it, I recommend books 2 and 3 to get more of the world, but just know there's a main character swap from Sabriel to Lirael (just see the title of the books) as well as a 19(?) year time jump.

It was certainly a bold and risky choice to do this combination. The result is polarizing, to say the least. It is not something we will try often in the future. But we'll brainstorm harder next time, and I do hope the final physical copy will look better than the mockup!

Stormlight Archives is actually a rare case where I much prefer the US covers to the UK ones. Though of course both are still excellent, but stylistically the US artwork speaks to me more - reminds me of some of the og wheel of time covers I love so much. Being in Australia, we kind of get a good mix of US and UK covers though - so we get to take our pick.

The broken binding edition of the green bone saga dont look so good. The covers are pretty, and they could work way better with these books if the edges werent so chunky. The stained glass look works better in a more intricate smaller pattern, they should have done that. And the two colorways clash, they should harmonize and then the books would be very cool

Regarding Metroid Prime 4, it was in development for so long in part because Nintendo was trying to make it in-house, but the quality wasn't satisfactory, so they scrapped the project and brought Retro Studios (makers of the original MP games) back in to take over the project. This version of MP4 would've been in production since around 2021 or so (I forget when the announcement was exactly). Also, personally, I was fine with how the gameplay felt because it was in line with the rest of the series, at least for the power beam. It'll be after you unlock the bigger, badder beams that you'll get more feedback from big explosions on the Super Missile, shattering enemies with the Ice Beam or turning them into smoldering husks with the Plasma Beam.

I just more meant if I'm playing a shooter I want it to be FAST with super dynamic movement and I expected them to show off bringing metroid into the modern shooter by taking full advantage of the ball and all that. Like Titan Fall movement with Metroid's abilities. Again, early trailer so I could be super off base here but I hope that's more clear.
@radiantgale5 ай бұрын
@@DanielGreeneReviews If that's what you want in a shooter, then it's not going to be for you. The Prime series in general has slower gunplay, and that's a design philosophy when they initially created the series and is what they are promising now. I suggest watching the older Prime games for what it's generally going to be like, and what they are aiming for again. They aren't trying to bring Metroid into modern shooter era, they are just continuing the Prime series like what people wanted
@SirDeathDark5 ай бұрын
@@DanielGreeneReviews Oh, I see. While the 2D games (Samus Returns and Dread) have gotten faster and more dynamic, the Prime series has never been terribly fast, but MP3, MP Trilogy, and MP Remastered from last year make up for it with motion controls. In other words, you're probably getting the right feeling for the pacing from this trailer, and it might just be that it's not the right kind of shooter for you. I'd hate to add more to your TBR/TBP, but if you get the chance to try the Remaster, it'll give you a good feel for what 4's probably going to be like.
@sadee41755 ай бұрын
@@DanielGreeneReviews Part of the issue here might be thinking Metroid Primes are shooter games... The games are Action-Adventures with a heavy emphasis on exploring, puzzles, and platforming. The protag has an arm cannon yes but that's more of a tool then the main point. They could have made the game more shooter like but that would be moving away from what the Metroid Prime fans love about the game. The exploration and puzzle solving is a huge part of the games... once you unlock weapons and revisit areas to uncover things you missed (Metroidvania style after all) you will often run through or skip enemies you have battled before because you know the tricks or have unlocked ways of byassing battles. Also given the development hell this game has already been through I am sure Nintendo has given direction for the game company to make it super safe and be as close as possible with some improvements to the style and game play of the original trilogy to give the fan community what they have been pleading for for years. Its almost been 20 years since the last instalment of a Metroid Prime game after all.
