Stormtrooper Boots - WATCH BEFORE YOU BUY!!!

I think it is very, very difficult to find Jodphurs made of white leather. Extremely impractial to ride a horse with. If you can't get ready-made Stormtrooper boots, leather paint might be an option. The authentic scuffs will then come automatically. But you can always apply more white leather paint. Regarding the elastic parts: Maybe try fabric paint. Though I do not think you will get perfect coverage. Or maybe have the elastic part exchanged against white elastic. What was used on the original boots is difficult to say. Maybe acrylics, as these tend to crack over time, be it craftfoam, leather or fabrics. Just some ideas.

What about white doc martens Chelsea boots? Just wondering if they’d be ok, or terrible?

Look for ones without a seam in the center of the front panel. Also, its almost impossible to find white dye for the side panels.

I understand going for authenticity but to take it to a level of actually painting a pair of black boots white and then being happy with the paint wearing off because it makes them look like the ones in the film is taking it beyond extreme. I would imagine the only reason they painted the boots in the movie was because they couldn't source any manufactured in white in the first place and if they could have they wouldn't have bodged it like they did. If you can buy manufactured white boots then just buy them!
