you are actually supposed to put on the moisturizer first THEN the oil. Order matters. The oil will prevent the moisturizer from absorbing into your skin, but if a moisturizer is put in first it will sink and and the oil will lock it in. Speaking from experience with dry skin, when I put the oil on first, I still had dry skin. Only after when I put the oil last did I have nice skin.

Hey there :) The ordinary states to use this oil after water based serums before other moisturizers and creams. If you use a moisturizer that contains no oil, you may prefer to use it before hand because it’s water based however if you use a heavier cream that is oil based specific for dry skin then the oil serum should go beforehand. Everyone’s skin is different, so you can adjust to what you feel works best for your skin :) x

When I looked it up on Web MD it says that it can be used to help heal inflammation and prevent acne. If you try it you will have to listen to what your skin has to say though :)

It's best to check with your doctor if you are able to use Rosehip Oil or not. They will be able to tell you what you should be doing in your pregnancy :) The product itself doesn't contain retinol, it's the Rosehip oil ingredient that contains small concentrations of vitamin A.

I've always heard oils should be the last to be applied on the skin. So is rosehip different? Should I apply it before my moisturizer and hydrating cream?
@SkinZoneTV
@SkinZoneTV Жыл бұрын
A great question and it really depends on the product formulation of both the oil serum and the moisturiser. The ordinary places their Rose Hip Oil in their treat phase which is before a moisturiser. But... if you are using a gel, lotion or lightweight moisturiser as your face cream. (oil-free, gel moisturiser, or water cream.) Then it makes sense to finish off with the oil, because the oil is heavier than your light moisturiser, and therefore, should be applied last as the lock-in layer. But if your moisturiser is rich in oils and occlusives then I would use your rosehip oil serum first, then the moisturiser :)

@mayaa6247 Vitamins A & C can temporarily decrease melanin levels, making skin more sensitive to sun rays. As a ginger, I can confirm it wreaks havoc in the sun. Just use as a night routine, so it repairs sun damage instead 😉
