Create Seamless Blends Between Meshes | Houdini 19.5

Blending meshes together so that the seams are not apparent can be a tricky task sometimes. Luckily Houdini has a node that allows you to easily create a mesh so that you can create a seamless blend between meshes.

This is amazing, I find this to be something missing in most renders, that sharp edge really makes it look 3d. Is there a way to select just the top edge procedurally?

Great video as always. I have a question or topic I never seen tackled. How would you rig a geometry made from a shortest path algorithm or Reaction Diffusion. These geos have various stems growing in different directions, but how would you go about getting those stems, growth moving?

do you have any plans to use materialx in ur workflow at some point?

I have used it some but I mainly use Redshift to render at the moment. MaterialX has some work to be done still and its more for transitioning assets between programs in my opinion. Maybe in the future but at the moment not really.
