the part where the guy is bending the branche, that's okay ofcourse but branches can also be pleached. Same rope, but tightened to somewhere forging the branche diligently to grow another direction. Normally tight wood such as common hornbeam or yew are pleached, its a long term project but you could pleache branches in a way that they become a bar setup or anything you want it to. In my experience a tree with alot of horizontal branches gives alot of climbing posiblity, plyo from branche to branche or underbar it like Cal already mentioned.

@@sadflute8639 I re-read the comment and I think I jumped to the conclusion that the BoogaBooga guy agreed that friends like these are hard to come by, when he could have agreed with the fact that these are a group of good friends. My point was just that I don't agree that "good friends *are hard to come by* " because to me: "Friends are by definition supportive, or else they are not friends." So if anyone says "I have friends who don't support me." I feel like it's contradictive: If they don't support you, then they can't be called friends. But I do realize my own logical fallacy: Just because friends are by definition supportive, doesn't mean some people don't have a harder time finding them. So let me rectify that by instead just saying: If they're not supportive, they're not friends. So in that case, keep looking until you find real friends. Don't settle with people who don't support you.

@@aaronw6706 But when you do get Josh content, it's almost always unique what he can do in a space. The first hole was a prime example, Josh not quite getting the dive roll that everyone else has on tap, but then pulling out a move that defies belief in the same space, that no-one else would even try. Same with the gates, bars, the security rolling flower gap, unlocking the builders chute etc. It's always special when Josh is in a video, so I don't mind them not always being able to make it a full crew for each video.

I love that you all have different skills and this video really highlights what suits each individual. Josh having issues with the dive roll, but then clearing the hole with something ten times more difficult is a perfect example. Or Benj getting the win in two places that sketched Toby out. I love that everyone shines in their own way, at their own time and place. I've been looking forward to the finished holes project, and it didn't disappoint at all! Incredible work lads!
@kyukyu59822 жыл бұрын
You know I learned something from Toby watching his WideBoyz videos. And now watching these videos it all makes a lot more sense. Having the group is a big reason why all these guys can do what they can do. Toby said it well that many of these really hard challenges wouldn't be so easily possible if it wasn't for the group all checking it out first, sizing it up, checking the safety, and often times unlocking the spot for someone to complete it. I always wanted to imagine that it all came down to the individuals skill and and courage but it's a lot more complicated than just that. Though skill and courage are important, just not the only factor.

I only discovered these guys about two weeks ago, I'm 74 years old and after seeing them in action, I feel like I want to join them, wishful thinking. They are a super crew, and I just cant get enough of watching them. Trouble is I'm always worried that they will get hurt, I am well aware they are experts at what they do, but I still cringe when they do stuff and have a near miss. It's good that they are always saying to the viewers "Don't do these things, it takes years of practise, it's dangerous, so please don't do it", and that is very sensible of them. A great bunch of very intelligent Lads, and they are always polite to the public, no matter what the situation, or how they are approached, and spoken to , they never show disrespect, or are rude, even if sometimes they are being ridiculed, Let's say a person who doesn't understand why they do what they do. That shows control of temperament, and has good influence on younger viewers. They are Ambassadors of their sport, and promote what they do in a positive and creative way. I really enjoy watching. They are all experts and very skilled at what they do. "Stay safe lads".

5:32 Did anyone else notice that they alternate the shoulders they roll on? Benj rolls on his right, Toby left, Max right, Drew left. Idk if that was intentional, but it looks so cool

It cracked me up to see drew jump the rail to being in the tree filming! This sport is so technically challenging and watching y'all work through it is super inspiring!

Now, I don't train parkour, but I know a thing or two about angular momentum. I think all Drew needs to do is slow down is rotation on the 360 dive and that should stabilize his legs enough to keep them in line. The amount of force he is exerting at his head and shoulders to initiate the spin at the beginning, is destabilizing his legs as they catch up with his torso. The slower the rotation the easier to control. I also know a thing or two about professionals, and I am betting they all already know that. Am I on to something here, or just way off? EDIT: Forgot to say, great video! Love the longer version.
