I mean, she is a literal Olympian. I don’t think most of us are capable of understanding just how massive the difference is between them and “very strong” climbers is. Think about a brand new climber, and the best climber you personally know, the person who comes in to the gym, flashes the entire new set, and then retreats under the boards to actually feel something. The difference between them and an Olympic level climber, is about the same as the difference between a brand new climber and them.

A real-deal, live climbing competition is something Nathan and I have wanted to make happen on the channel for a long time, and with the help of a mega production team - all credit to Sam Tooker for working on the edit like a CHAMP, Substation Brixton, Rungne, an amazing roster of guest climbers and some of London’s finest setters, we were able to bring the vision to life. Let us know who you’d like to see in the Creator Cup 2.0 👇

My completely unhinged wishlist of a fantasy cast (with an ocean and 1000 other things in the way): Pros: Louis Parkinson, Anna Hazelnut, Alex Puccio, Zoe Petermaans, Shauna Coxsey, Alex Honnold Content creators: You, Rotimi Odukoya, Brooke (from connective climbing)

I love this video, great idea. ❤ One idea to make it maybe a bit more dynamic: give everyone a first flash attempt, and then do a round-robin. A top takes an athlete out of the round-robin. If the total time for the boulder is up, finish the round. People can watch and cheer each other after the flush attempt. Additional cool thing about this: you don’t have resting time without someone on the wall. People see all the athletes in short cycles.

@ Thanks to you, I’m just a spectator. For what it’s worth though, this had really good energy. Some of the “bigger” collaborations just leave me cold and thinking that it was a cynical and pointless collab. Hope to see more. All the best.

Extremely good project. Already psyched for the 2.0 version. Would be fun if you had a board problem as well, like a kilter problem.

This was amazing! So fun to watch and I literally yelled at my screen twice seeing Erin look so casual on those last two boulders.

Erin's climbing strength and ability is on another planet. She makes slopiest hold look like a walk in the park. That is wild.

I love the amateur/experienced team combo so we can 1. Really see the difference between how pros climb versus recreational climbers and 2. See the corrections pros give to amateurs on these tricky boulders. Really great video!
