When I was 18-19, I was recovering from heroin addiction. I was in a quiet winter town, surrounded by nature preserves - and I used to go to this small pond that would freeze over and ice skate around, listening to whatever music seemed fitting. One day I went when it was snowing but the pond wasn't frozen and there was a small rickety pole out there that I would've had to jump up onto but the landing would barely hold one shoe. I sat there for maybe 30 minutes working up the courage, and when I finally jumped- I barely grazed the pole and landed feet first in extremely muddy/slimly water. I had to walk back 15 minutes after that in the snow - but I couldn't help but feel like it was well worth it. Thank you all for all that you do.

While I agree with you in that they are supportive, I wouldn't call just grabbing him by arm very supportive if you measure "supportiveness" by the difficulty or effort required to help someone. On the other hand NOT helping him in that situation would be douche move(regardless if they knew him or not)

I found myself with a big grin as I watched Sasha complete the challenge. As a big guy I do appreciate Sasha’s determination and persistence even though some of these challenges may be a little more difficult for a ‘bigger’ guy. I also really love and admire how each individual has pure and unadulterated jubilation for everyone’s triumphs and successes. Their camaraderie is unmatched!!!
