That's because people don't realize that comedy and education aren't mutually exclusive. Every joke is simply a statement of fact that a) is easy to solve quickly and b) implies that you are of positiv worth, or at least relative to someone/something else. Here, the jokes and Information IS seperated at times, but there are also many jokes that also delive the aforementioned Information. The joke about Inspirational speakers for example works both as a joke, deminishing them and making people feel morally superior to the people that support them, and also works as advice, by pointing out that there is an easier way to get life advice.

It’s not sexy living: at least it’s capital “C” clean. Human suffering is a billion people business, but choose consciously what you suffer for. A text message from an old loved one. The line at the grocery store. Your receding hairline. Words on the internet. Your gross double chin. About your child’s upbringing; your decaying body. Your disease. Or the fact that you always feel like you haven’t done enough. Regardless of what you choose, I hope you have fun and feel real. Live in that for a while and you’ll begin to see what the brave new world has made you to be. I dont really 'get' this video, I'm not too keen on these kind of open-for-debate videos. Regardless, this is what (i think) it's saying ; We live in a world where everyone tells you how to live, what to do, what to buy. Yet we can't do that, we cant reach that 'perfect life' that people often tell us we have to achieve. Even if you were to achieve it, the success would feel hollow because that success isn't your success, it's the success that others have planned out for you. It's more important to focus on your life, and who you are, rather than what other people say you should be. Improve yourself, and when you're truly successful by your standards, you'll know it. Is my interpretation 'correct'? I know that completely goes against the idea of what an interpretation is but i'm also an idiot so who knows. Oh look. I just did what the video told me not to worry about.

i think this is a satire of motivational speakers and Ted Talkers. they can say all the motivational things they want. but do they need to? the video ends with Caleb realizing he doesn't need to tell people how to live. and follows his own dreams, even if it's as simple as being a clown.

Actual lessons to learn because I can't see the main point in this mess to guide my understanding in a single line that a video should be: 4:26 --> Live the present, not the future 5:15 --> Sometimes, your dream that seems the ultimate goal is actually hiding something much bigger 6:16 --> Care about what really matters, because you can't care about everything enough 6:45 --> Once you start to care about what is really worth caring about, you start to understanding that one purpose you were actually seeking for, and life will makes more sense. 7:21 --> Deep down, you know what is right. But you make yourself blind because you can't afford reality 7:28 --> People seek "accumulate" happiness moments as if this would fulfil them... sometime. It won't. 7:31 --> Stop seeking a endless checkbox list... stop. And look to the majesty of the life, to the big picture of your life, and... live it. Reality is with you. And while you seek the truth, it will be always within you all the time. "The universe says I love you"

This reminds me that I am a lucky person for being born with a personality that leads with intuition. I've always felt very real and human, living intuitively and trusting what I feel. Interestingly enough, it seems the biggest mistake that this type of personality makes is waiting too long.
@thatbloomer56423 жыл бұрын
Because of how intuitive we are, that same intuition also highlights all the possible negative outcomes from any situation. This leads to, at least for me, to thinking, pondering, and eventually waiting. Waiting for me to somehow came up with the perfect solution when in reality, there isn't any. It's really difficult to accept the fact that sometimes we just can't possibly know what's going to happen and we'll never know about it, good or bad, unless we take that first step and move forwards. That for me, is the challenge.

There have been so many weird and surreal videos I’ve come across on KZbin, but none of them have spoken to me the way this one has. Year after year, when life has me down and I’m struggling against the grain, I find myself coming back to watch the Story of Caleb Jung again. It always makes me feel better. I wish I could say this video deserves more attention, but that would be ignoring the point it’s trying to make. But I do believe everyone needs to hear the story of Caleb Jung.
