Very interesting. I too rebelled against a Christian upbringing. I fell into Heavy, Black & Death Metal for a long time. I looked into satanism & paganism & other religions. Ultimately none satisfied me. I was introduced to Taoism later in life which brought me to love all & opened my mind. Now I delve towards deeper roots which has lead me here. New fan of Heilung & I look forward to more of their rituals. Thank you for being a part of my journey.

I also grew up in an Orthodox Roman Catholic family. Parents themselves of diverse backgrounds. Irish, Norwegian, German German Jew, French Native American. I also sought to explore my roots. My Indigenous roots of Chippewa, and possibly Blackfoot, Norse, Mother Earth, Paganism, Shamanic teachings... What a great video. Thank you.

Thank you so much for the kind words, and what a legacy :)

To be fair Catholicism is the closest to paganism you can get when it comes to Christainity. You just need to understand the teachings of Catholicism and then connect the dots, do that and you're on your way. Though it probably lead you to Greco-Roman paganism.

KAI was correct all along. Look what religion has done for us? War, death, arguments, separation. Heilung is the best band and has a had healing effect on my soul.

A list of books and/or resources to learn more ourselves of old Norse traditions and practices would be immensely appreciated. ⚒❤️🔥⚒

I actually thought long about this one. The best book to read is Jorden Synger, which is a danish book, and i looked all i could for an english version, no luck sadly. But another great one is Asatru - Norse spirituality by Gudrun Victoria Gotved.

I dressed up as Maria and my man was a viking warrior for a Halloween party last weekend. The weekend before that, we saw Heilung for the first time. Our costumes were legit: my antlers were real, and his axe was real. People were shocked at how amxing we looked and we won best costumes. But we didnt wear them to win a silly contest. We took these outfits seriously and gave them the respect they deserved. O ly one person recongnied my costume, and immediately started on a rant about conjuring evil spirits. We let him know that there was nothing summoned that was evil, although there was certainly an entity ir entities there. They were pure light and good, while also being strife and struggle. Both were represented becausewe exist in a world of duality. Its not our job to change someones mind, but we did share our expierience of beauty in their ritual. More people went home knowing if Heilung and hopefully they will recieve the blessings we did after bringing them into our life.

You took the oufits "seriously" and with "respect" by using them as Halloween costumes for a party?? 😥

So there is a large number of interviews out there with Kai where he talks about different parts of his life, and also some interviews. We simply compiled in all in a script and presented it here in one package :) you can find them just by googling np.

Honestly, many of the letters they don’t even know the meaning for. Instead of having a meaning in the sense of a word, I suggest see it more as a vibration. As in the meaning of the words are not information but a feeling. Not sure if I am making sense :)
