Story of Ma Shailaputri - Navaratri Day 1

On the auspicious first day of Navarātri, devotees worship Maa Shailaputrī (शैलपुत्री), the Daughter (Putri/पुत्री) of Himalaya (Shaila/शैल). Among the Nava Durgās, or the nine goddesses, Maa Shailaputri holds great significance and is worshiped for her divine virtues. Mother Shailputri is depicted as having a serene and simple appearance, holding a trident in one hand and a lotus in the other while riding atop a bull named Nandi. She is the protector of wildlife and is revered by those who seek refuge in the Himalayan mountains for yoga, meditation, penance, and rituals.

He loves everyone. He wants a friendship/relationship with you. If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Repent from your sins asking for forgiveness, turn away from them God will help you with that. Invite God into your heart/life watch what He will do. God wants to save you.

You don't know enough of Hindu philosophy then. In Hinduism, God is already and always inside our hearts. We can have any type of relationship with God(mother, father, friend, etc). There are also many branches of Hinduism, ways to worship God and different manifestations of God. All of them are correct and we just have to follow the path that suits us the best. If you find Jesus the best for you then follow it but no need to write unnecessary things like this. I even doubt you even tried to learn about Hinduism. Instead, you should strive to become a better devotee of God.

Maa Shailputri is one of the most divine forms of Goddess Durga. She is one of the Navadurgas who is worshipped on the first day of the Navratri festival. The name of Mata Shailputri is derived by joining two Sanskrit words 'Shail' meaning mountains and 'Putri' meaning daughter. Maa Shailputri is one of the nine divine avatars of Goddess Durga. Hindu devotees worship her on the first day of Chaitra Navratri. Believed to be the provider of prosperity and all fortunes, devotees hail Maa Shailputri as mother nature and pray to her for their spiritual awakening. The Goddess governs the Moon. The significance of Maa Shailaputri: She is believed to be the provider of prosperity. Devotees hail her as mother nature and pray for their spiritual awakening. She governs the Moon, the provider of all fortunes. According to Drik Panchang, after her self-immolation, Goddess Parvati was born as Lord Himalaya's daughter and was known as Shailputri. Maa Shailputri was Sati, the daughter of King Daksha in her former life. Goddess desired to wed Lord Shiva, but King Daksha was adamantly opposed to it. Lord Shiva and Goddess Sati were wed. Lord Shiva was not invited to a lavish yajna that King Daksha once organised, but everyone else was. The 9 avatars of Parvati. It is devoted to the worship of Maa Durga and her nine avatars - Maa Shailputri, Maa Brahmacharini, Maa Chandraghanta, Maa Kushmanda, Maa Skandamata, Maa Katyayani, Maa Kalaratri, Maa Mahagauri and Maa Siddhidatri. These nine forms of Adi Shakti are known as Navadurga. Maa Durga's first form as the goddess of nature, guides us on our journey to discovering our life's purpose. Shailaputri teaches us to introspect and understand our reasons for pursuing something before committing to it. Maa Shailputri unwavering strength, purity, and connection to the natural world. As you meditate, visualise her divine energy infusing your being, instilling you with the same power and purity she embodies. Maa Shailputri likes white and pure edible foods. Thus, offer white things made from pure cow's ghee. The mantra to chant on the first day of Chaitra Navratri, dedicated to Mata Shailputri is - ॐ देवी शैलपुत्र्यै नमः or Om Devi Shailaputryai Namah. Another mantra to chant on day 1 is - वन्दे वाञ्छितलाभाय चन्द्रार्धकृतशेखराम्। वृषारुढां शूलधरां शैलपुत्रीं यशस्विनीम् or Vande Vanchit Labhay Chandrardhkritshekhram. Benefits of Mata Shailputri Pooja: To gain fearlessness from evil powers. To get confidence to fight for the right over wrong. To make rapid decisions at the right time as to when and how to act. Maa Shailputri is worshipped on the first day. Wear red on this day to commemorate Navratri. Apart from being the most popular shade of chunri offered to the goddess, red represents love and passion. Parvati has two younger sisters called Ekaparna and Ekapatala. According to Devi Bhagavata Purana and Shiva Purana mount Himalaya and his wife Mena appease goddess Adi Parashakti. Lord Shiva is traditionally considered to have two wives, Parvati and Sati. Parvati is also known as Uma, Durga, and Kali. Sati is considered to be the first wife of Lord Shiva. There are some scriptures that mention Ganga as the wife of Lord Shiva, but this is not widely accepted in Hinduism. Ashokasundari was created from the wish-fulfilling tree Kalpavriksha when Parvati wished for a daughter to reduce her loneliness. The words in her name are derived from her creation. Ashoka refers to the easing of Parvati's shoka, which means "sorrow", while sundari means "beautiful girl". The symbol of Shailaputri. She is depicted as riding a bull with a trident in her right hand and a lotus flower in the left. The half-moon crest of Goddess Shailputri symbolises the fulfilment of desires.
