Enjoyable story, Jeff! While I'm quite a bit older than you, the story definitely reminded me of when I was a kid trying to scheme ways to ditch school. The point about having to suck it up and do what you don't want to do is VERY valid. That's part of being an adult and it's something that most of us have to do every day. Over the decades that I've been adult, I've learned that to beat that feeling, I just need to "do it" rathern than think about how badly "I don't wanna".

I'm 6th grade one day this kid puked all over the floor and they janitor cleaned it up and the day went on and the kid went home. The next morning I said to my mom "mom I can't go I'm gonna get Ebola from that kid!" She said something like he won't be there... Spoiler alert! He was and he went home and threw up again. Thanks mom.

I skipped about 2 months of school in 4th grade. NOT proud of it. Not even a joker. I was the smartest kid in class at the time (ugh 6th grade found someone smarter). My friends kept call my house and leaving messages and I'm like, "Ugh just let me stay here!" After those 2 months my dad apparently got a call. Called me while at home. I didn't know what to say. Got truancy court. Got yelled at. Mom wasn't happy cuz I had to go to school earlier because I had to go to T-court. I LOVED it. Gave me free stuff. In 5th grade, never missed more than 2 days. Got sick. And when Asians get sick, THEY GET SICK. "Karma," I said when I was sick. It was, of course, a field trip to the zoo. I love these story times. Keep doing it Jeff :3

I remember once in kindergarten, in 2001, I missed the bus. I was 6 years old, and my dad had actually told me, since it was friday, when he would usually pick me up, to ride the bus that day. Anyway, my teacher, Ms. Oakley, actually drove me to my house. She was the best. went to school in a very rural area, there was absolutely no way I could walk home. I actually went to another year of kindergarten at that school, since i started late in the first year, and I had the best teacher!

The message, stay in school. Yes you should at least make it through elementary and high school. Don't go to college if you don't want to. Do if you want to. Not all college or high school graduates are successful. Some drop outs are successful. Vice versa. I'm not encouraging dropping out of school. Just pointing out a fact. If you want to be successful, get an education and use whatever talents you have to make money or get a job or even a career.

both me and my principle are into cameras and we are both a bit nerdy, so every time I go to his office about classes(I did pretty much no homework in junior high, so im trying to show the teachers that I should be in higher classes than I should) we get distracted talking about a new *to him* old school camera, or a new nerdy piece. During the summer, when I ran in to him at the local grocery store we ended up talking about his new klingon cosplay costume. I find my principal pretty awesome, and im honored that my class will be the last graduating class of his career.

Love the video Jeff. And I gotta agree with you; school is real important. However, being a college student at a school that charges me around 60 grand a year, I feel confident in saying that it may not be for everyone. College puts innumerable people in debt every year. If school becomes any more expensive it will probably be more lucrative to get an education in some other way. Still, just my opinion. So people, please don't flame me over it.

My school gave us 18 days. In 4th grade, I missed 71 days. I always complained that I was sick and usually I was, but it would be very small. I may have had a little small stomach ache, or a general cold. We had to get the teachers to say I deserved to go to the 5th grade.

It's really too bad that the cool bus drivers and teachers always get crap. Had a pretty cool band teacher, but in my high school years when he didn't teach my class but sometimes had to sub for it he always seemed ticked off. I knew it had to be because kids thought they could take advantage of him. I had a really nice bus driver too back in middle school always liked me and the others on my stop(last stop), and he always asked why the other kids couldn't be like us.
