Tbh I feel like him telling your bro how to use the iron is completely justified, its his after all. I get you bro talking back tho bc I wouldve done the same at that age. BUT this mans audacity to come at your brother and blame you two for your and your mums situation is so out of line and plain disrespectful! If you cannot handle kids and how they might act, dont date someone with kids and especially dont act like their parents after only being in their life for a short time. He kinda deserved what he got.
@14dhat164 жыл бұрын
Wow...the irony. You and your brother never got the unconditional love from a male figure. However, the Universe gave you two the opportunity to give it to a child that's not your flesh per say. And I think because the Universe knows there's no one better who can put themselves in that child's shoes than you and your brother. What a blessing indeed. Xoxo. ❤

I know this comments gonna get lost in the other hundreds of comments but my mom was single and my dad married another woman after cheating on my mom with her and my little sister and I always felt like step children. My sister especially. I was a little older like 13, 14 at the time so I didn’t care as much. But my sister was like 3, and 4 until now. Now I’m 21 and shes 12. My stepmom for holidays would always buy her kids really nice electronics and games and nice new clothes. My sister would get a coloring book and my step moms maternal daughters hand me downs. My stepmom always made my sister and step sister share their birthday bc it was in the same month. This wasn’t to save money, my dad makes good money. They did it just because. My step sister could invite as many kids as she wanted, and my sister was allowed to invite one friend even tho she had more than that. Little actions they constantly did made my sister feel very divided from the others and it’s sad when adults feel the need to make it known who’s kid is who’s.

He saw my first step and one thing I'll never forget, is one time I ask can I call him dad but he said no cause he didn't want to disrespect my real dad but at that time I didn't care for my biological father. He always lied to us. Telling us he was going to do this and that but never did and my mom and iceman would be so hurt for us. Thank you for sharing this. It makes my heart so happy hearing how great of a mother you are, Nikki. Thank you for being a good parent to your son and making him know he’s loved, even though you didn’t give birth to him. My stepmom is literally the epitome of what you think when you hear, “evil stepmother.” She made sure we knew that we are NOT her kids, and that the kids she has with my dad are “Their Family.” It’s disgusting. I grew up starving for her approval in any way. All I wanted was to be praised by her, even just once, I just wanted to do SOMETHING right in her eyes. I wanted to know that she loved me. I spent my entire childhood and most of my adult life seeking her approval and love and one day I finally realized it will never come. When I was a child (literally like 6 years old) she started talking about my mom in a negative and horrible way- that no parent, no matter how much you don’t like the other parent, should ever ever talk like that to a child. Saying my mom’s a drunk, a w h o r e. that she likes sleeping with strangers, and that she’d rather be at the bar than be a Mom to me. None of this was true, my mom didn’t and still doesn’t drink- she’s never been promiscuous and hell, even if she was, why the fuuuuuuck would you tell a six year old that????? about their mom????? Anyways, she only did nasty things when my Dad wasn’t around and therefore he never saw the real her. That is- until this last year, when my dad called to say he’s planning on divorcing her when my youngest (half) brother (16 y/o) goes off to college. I’m really worried about my Dad being alone for the first time in his life, but he deserves SO MUCH better than she could EVER be. He deserves an amazing angel of a woman who’s artsy like he is and as loving as he is. I’ll never know how she managed to land my Dad, but i’m so excited to see him maybe finally find someone that’s good enough for him (in my eyes, anyways). Long story short, you’re an AMAZING MOM!!!!!

@nicolesanchez21294 жыл бұрын
I feel like all of these comments on Pablos side are forgetting that he offered to have Nikki and her brother over. He knew how old they were and what that entails. There were kids he can’t expect them to act perfect or not have something somewhat damaged. He knew the risk that comes with kids coming over. That being said that doesn’t mean Nikki and her brother have the right to ruin everything which they didn’t. It wasn’t until Pablo stepped out of line and Nikkis brother even tried to iron the way Pablo told him to.

About 5 years ago, my mom dated this guy and he was pretty cool. Gave me gifts when he came to our house, always spending time with me, and overall treating me well. Then, about a year into their relationship, he started to change. Started arguments with my mom, accused her of cheating whenever she's around another guy, and just being toxic with her. Around this time, whenever I would hang out with him, he would bring up my mom's "cheating" and start to badmouth her. So, Whenever he left to go back to his house, I would go to my mom and parrot what he said. Immediately, she left him since she was already done with the relationship.

It feels like they’re attacking my mom & actin’ like she didn’t do a well enough job. I get that’s not how most people mean it but I understand where you’re coming from & some people really do mean it that way & it hurts. My mom is a *QUEEN.* Just because my daddy passed away when I was young doesn’t mean my problems come from “not having a father.” They come from trauma & heart break & attacking the way I was raised because YOU think I needed a father my whole life doesn’t fly with me.

My stepdad has always treated me differently to his own kids. When I lived with my mum and stepdad I always felt like he saw me as the “problem child”, when actually I was really well behaved. It was actually his behaviour towards me that made me have a bit of an attitude, where I would constantly argue with him and antagonise him. His kids got away with so much with my stepdad and with my mum; meanwhile I was the “problem”. He wasn’t a good stepdad to me at all, but my mum never said anything. We get on better now, partly because he’s mellowed with age, and I don’t live with them anymore. They have so much trouble with my stepsister now, being spoiled and entitled, and I’m the one who’s independent and doesn’t cause them issues!

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I give so many kudos to you!!! Not only being able to treat a child that is not biologically yours but love that child the same as any child you actually birthed says A LOT about you. My father met my 2 oldest sisters when they were 5 and 8 and when they were 7 and 10 my sister was born and then 2 years later I was born (biologically my fathers both of us) and I never saw or felt like my father treated myself and my sister any differently than my oldest sisters but as we all got older both of them had said that never once did they feel like they weren’t his daughters. My father walked both of them down the isle, even while their bio dad was still alive && around, they have said numerous times that my father was more of a father to them then their actual father. Even now as my oldest sisters are in their mid-late 30s they still have a close relationship. Now that I’ve gone on and on about that my point of it all is that I think it takes a very special person to come into a child’s life and there be no difference in the love you have between children, I get people adopt and they love those kids just as much as the could/do their own so I deff do not want to take that away from anyone!! I’ve also seen how bad it can be when the non bio parent treats their own differently and you’re 100% right! Children deserve to feel loved and wanted and not like they aren’t as good or enough for anyone. That first 6mins made me not only like you even more but have that much more respect for you
