You did not fail because you had a c-section. You created and carried a human inside of you for 9 months. She’s here, she’s healthy and she’s beautiful! My mom’s body was not capable of natural labor, she had 4 c-sections. I have so much respect for you for being able to open up about your experience. The important part is that you and your babygirl are here and healthy. love you ❤️❤️

This video was so raw! Thank you for sharing. I’m currently 22 weeks pregnant and everyone has told me not to plan my delivery because once you’re their things happen to change. So I’m taking this pregnancy day by day, but not a day goes by where I’m not terrified of both pushing vaginally or even c section, but either way I know I have to be prepared for the arrival of my daughter. As I see this. I see you are very strong to have gone through all that just to deliver your daughter! It may not have gone as planned, but girl you gave life to a beautiful babygirl 💗 You struggled for her! Congratulations ✊🏼

Wow!!! I’ve been watching everyone’s delivery stories and it’s crazy how every pregnancy is so different. I can’t believe what you went through in your labor. It seemed so scary but I get inspired because when I’m ready to have a baby I will think of women like you who went through hell and came out stronger. You are super woman!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
@Jm-ju6po5 жыл бұрын
You’re so strong! I’m so proud of you! I feel like we all have that “idea” that women are supposed to have their babies naturally but we also have to remember that a lot of women died giving birth. And maybe that was because they didn’t have the option of a C Section (and also other medical necessities) so don’t feel bad. You literally got to 8 cm! You were almost there. 🙌🏻 congrats on your babygirl, we are all so so happy for you! ❤️

i completely understand being upset about your birth plan. my water broke at 38 weeks while my husband was deployed. his unit wouldn't let him leave since "it's not considered an emergency" so i had to go through it alone plus my body wouldn't cooperate as well with dilating so i had to get a c section as well

1st of all huge Congrats! I had similar experience with my 1st born! It was not what I planned but as I look back to 8years ago, I realize that it just wasn’t gods plan for my LO to come naturally. He needed little help lol. But we woman are so strong and god created us to be mamas for a reason! When you look back at your experience you might say you won’t be able to do it again! But TRUST me you can and will. I have 3 kids and survived all 3 c sections! We’re warriors! A mom is not defined by what type of birth you have. Many blessings to your and your family!💗

Aw Brittney don't be so hard on yourself about the Csection. You grew a whole life in your body do you know how amazing that is?! Life will never go as planned but your baby is worth anything that childbirth brings. I'm so proud of you!
@Karla-mu2fg5 жыл бұрын
Yup the exact same thing happened to me too my first epidural wore off and I had to get it again. But thank God at least my anesthesiologist was so good. I hardly have back pain. Because I was told as soon as I was able to walk and get up to maintain my back covered at all times. Not to let it be exposed to the cold because it would give you horrible back pain. And that’s exactly what I did I was always super careful and took care of my back so much and it helped :) don’t get me wrong I still get some like pain but nothing unbearable either.
@mandsss175 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for sharing! I had my first baby almost two weeks ago and my birth experience was almost EXACTLY the same as yours - from being induced to having to get the balloon to having medicine re-administered right before the c section because my epidural wore off and they didn’t know until they started pinching me. I also was dead set on having a vaginal delivery but had to get a c section last minute because I wasn’t dilating past 7 cm and they already broke my water. I’ve been struggling with accepting the fact that I had to get a c section because I equated it with failing, but I’m trying to tell myself that it’s far from that & it doesn’t make me any less of a mother/woman. If anything, an experience like this is empowering because you were able to overcome all these unexpected hurdles while doing the hardest thing you’ll ever have to do (labor). You are so strong! Congratulations on the beautiful baby & thank you again for opening up about your experience.

The moment you started tearing up, I did too. I just recently started following you when I found out you were pregnant I was pregnant too. I also live in Dallas. I gave birth June 8th and I too was told I needed a c-section. Worst moment of my life because i really thought I was going to have a normal delivery especially after pushing just for 4 hours & being dilated at a 10 already. I know exactly how you felt at that moment. Recovery was a bitch. Not being able to feed or hold my baby when I wanted to, broke me!! I’m glad you had your support system though. I did too which helps but til this day, I’m not truly happy.

Girl I FEEL YOU when you said you had a whole plan for your labor. I went in thinking I was gonna have my son natural and “normal”. I got induced, stayed overnight, in labor for HOURS, & I only progressed to a 8. I ended up having to have an emergency c-section for the exact same reason. And I am TRAUMATIZED when I think about my sons birth. It kills me thinking about the fact that my body couldn’t give birth to him. Plus I felt them stitching me up towards the end of the c-section and ugh all I think about is pain when I think about my sons birth. Truly blessed to have my 1 year old baby boy, but I just wish his birth could’ve gone naturally. Believe it or not but a lot of women have c-sections now a days, it’s okay. You are no less than a mom than the women that have their babies naturally. You are BLESSED, with a beautiful baby girl. 💕

Reminded me of my labor, I had gotten induced as well but I had only dilated 1cm. They kept checking on me but I had no progress. My doctor had told me we had to prepare for a csection and I just started bawling out crying because it wasn’t what I wanted. When it came time to go to the other room and do everything I also remember waking up to my baby boy first cry.

My first pregnancy I had my baby girl @ 34 weeks due to severe preeclampsia. My blood pressure was in the 200s and I never felt sick or anything. Which is scary af because you can have a seizure etc. They induced me and it wasn’t going anywhere I stayed @ 1cm and the next day I had an emergency c section. Every time I was contracting her heart beat would go down so we had no choice. She was at the NICU for a week and I stayed a week also due to my high blood pressure. My labor was almost EXACTLY the same as yours... the only thing that was different for me was that I got my water broken at 2cm and got the epidural due to my blood pressure going to 190/130. I got the same drug, my epidural wore off, I wasn’t dilating, and shit got real VERY fast. My pain was so bad I was passing out from screaming in pain. I did not want a C-Section but I ended up BEGGING for one. My boyfriend and the nurse held me down during my C-Section. I ended up sleeping through the entire procedure and had to be put under. I started to hemorrhage and I lost half of my body’s blood. I didn’t get to meet my baby until the next day. ): I then was packed and had a balloon put inside my uterus because my uterus collapsed. It was very traumatic. (Especially since I’m only 18) He was 9 pounds. He’s now 5 weeks old! This video helped me a lot to know that I wasn’t the only one who wouldn’t dilate. I felt the same way after and I still get emotional when I think/talk about it. Thank you for making this video.❤️
