Really good question: "who send us message?". For real that checking of dilation is more painful than the birth itself. With my first baby, I can't remember how many times they did that to me. After some time, whenever I saw the team of doctors approaching, hot tears would start flowing. Welcome back to land dear! Thank God for a safe delivery after all you went through. You are already glowing. ;)

My first pregnancy was surprise twins. No one knew I was having twins except me, but I forgot about the dream I had about twin girls, so I was also shocked. To sum it up. After the first one was born the doctor said he thought he saw the hand of another baby and we all shouted, "What!?" then we were excited to see another girl, her identical double. I lost two babies 2 years and 4 years after the twins. The birth of my son was so special but long as well. I thank God for his mercies. Thanks for sharing. God bless.

OMG!!! I love your story. At 21:07 when you said CS I had tears in my eyes. I've never had a CS but I know that recovery is not as easy. You did well!!!! To go through the contraction pain and still have CS. I had a Nigerian Midwife for my first delivery, she tried to bring that Nigerian style of tough love to me. I had to tell somebody to remove her otherwise I'll make a complaint. You know in the UK when they hear the word "complaint" they panic. So she had to calm down lol. Tito is soooo cute a new born, you know that usually baby's look somehow when they are first born. Lol. But Tito was tooooo cute, he still is. Absolutely love your story!!! From beginning to end. Thanks for the shoutout. Xx

awww sisi yemi... First of, I want to say a massive THANK YOU TO GOD over your life and baby. Honestly, your story was a snippet to how we lose our mothers to child birth in Nigeria. Such a laid back mentality no plan b or c. I pray that your next child will be in a much better and respectful hospital. I seriously don't blame women that go abroad to have a baby. Secondly, well done to YOMI. He is an amazing dude. God bless him for standing up and standing by you in faith and other areas. I enjoyed the story. You are such a good story teller. Your son is blessed to have you as his mummy. WOW, I am even happy you got to tell it in person. Well done boo. I am proud of you. Pls be proud of yourself.....xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

You truly are a wonderful story teller, I laughed a lot at the way you relayed your story! Truth is its a shame that in 2015 Nigeria's healthcare is still a shambles. Scissors into a pregnant woman contracting? That's crazy! In the UK they use their fingers (in a sanitized glove) to separate the lining of the womb from the cervix (membrane sweep)...not scissors. I'm still in shock. Also there's this stigma of having a Caesarian section in Naija ...they need to get over it.. It's a form of surgery that's perfectly feasible in difficult labour. I'm sure the insistence of delivering naturally when not physically possible is why so many mothers and mothers to be lives have been lost! They waited until the baby was in great distress, low heart rate and produced meconium (poo) before declaring an emergency. Pure nonsense. They allowed you see the tools they would be using in theatre ......the doctor didn't trust the nurse enough to know your dilation measurements causing you additional discomfort. Hmmmm I Thank God for your life and that of baby too. Very indecent practices!

First of all, I have to say @SisiYemmie is a breath of fresh air to our generation. When comes to mind when I read/watch her blogs/vlogs is the originality (that is sadly lacking in our society), and the 'down-to-earthness' of her stories.I'm not ashamed to say that I'm a man who regularly visits your site and also watches the weekly bits. This birth experience vid is very interesting, good and important for soon-to-be mothers, especially the first-timers. Sending you virtual kisses- WE LOVE YOUR WORK!!!

Sisi you're so brave. I was feeling for you after 20 mins of the story. Nigerian healthcare needs to get better. More education and making the woman more comfortable with her choices on delivery. They didn't even educate you on the labor inducing pitocin they were giving you. I so enjoy you. Thanks for sharing this story. It's good that you did

Thanks for sharing your story. My labour was similar to yours only that I was in the hospital for just one day because I was already 2 weeks late and I had my baby in Dublin. They had to break my water and I was given epidural and was placed on monitor to monitor the baby's heartbeat. After about 6 hours I was only 5cm dialated and when they checked the baby it all turned to an emergency because baby had pooed inside, I was put to sleep for an emergency CS and the next thing I heard was wake up its a girl. By the time I woke up, baby had already been bottle fed. And I was given loads of pain killers. Fast forward nine years now, I have 3 beautiful girls and all born through CS and I am very thankful to God.

Thank YOU Jesus!!!I had tears!!! It don't matter how many labour and delivery stories I hear, it gets me teary.Such an experience, this labour matter. The journey to delivery is indeed a long one... but I thank God it ended with a healthy mama and healthy baby.Thank you for sharing. I was not ready for Tito's scream ooOh wow!!! That boy's lung came working FULL BLAST!!!You already know my Birth story but yup I got to the point where I considered telling them to just section me and get it over with cos 42weeks and still no sign, I WAS TIRED!!! But for some reason, I didn't say it out. Then like you, my doctor was willing to let me labour ooooooooo because the baby was fine. By the time I pushed him out, because he descended finally, and they weighed him and he was 4.4kg, nne NO WORDS!!! Truth is, for me ooo, my next pregnancy I will WATCH what I eat. cos this one, I had no food aversions so I was eating like a PIG and fatting and so was baby. I am trusting God for twins and so they have to come smaller abeg.See ehn, that checking for dilation IS THE MOST PAINFUL THING IN THE WORLD!!! Just dey chuck hand anyhow into someone's vjayjay. God knows it took FOREVER for me to let ANYTHING come near that area for a long time ooo. I always used to cringe. My dear, epidural is the answer ooo. My friend who gave birth in yankee said she didn't feel a thing while they checked... Na hin I come dey suffer!!! I didn't cry from labour and all but that checking got me shaking and stiffening up everytime which is counter-productive!!! Oh I hate it!!!Sisi, I bless God that we are here telling the story, alive and with our babies, and with our hotness coming back and everything, even tho I was also an ugly preggo. But you see ehn, next pregnancy, having gone through number 1, I KNOW how to frame my confessions and fire my prayers. I certainly am done being an ugly preggo. I will be a HOT fit pregnant mama... I will have smaller babies IRRESPECTIVE OF WHAT MEDICAL SCIENCE SAYS, I will have a smooth delivery whichever method it is/I choose and I WILL LOSE THE BABY FAT nice and easy because I will eat right during pregnancy.Ok this is a blog post.I will stop...HahahahaE'www.eziaha.com

This is so so beautiful. Congratulations to you and your family. My birth story started after having something spicy for dinner at 39w+1d. Went to the bathroom and I saw blood. Just went to bed and couldn't sleep. We went to the hospital in the morning and I was 2cm already. The contractions nearly ran me mental. Just too painful. I had to beg for epidural. At some point, I was saying things that made no sense at all because of the pain...my bundle ofabsolute joy came 9 hours later. To God be the glory.

Even after reducing my volume to the point where i was straining my ears to listen to what you were saying i still wasn't prepared for tito's screams. The lady that came to ask what you wanted to eat, that part had me laughing to tears.

Lovely story Sisi - you are a hilarious story teller! You had me in stitches all through even though some parts of your experience were harrowing. Tito looked so handsome at birth!! :)

seriously the health care system in Nigeria needs improvement. I can't even imagine a nurse speaking to a patient in such way. But Sisi, your story is really interesting, all the sound effects are the best.

this is hands down the best labor/pregnancy video I've ever seen. You are hilarious! We thank God Tito is here and he's perfect :) but my goodness, see the way you struggled to bring him here! You looked beautiful throughout btw. How is your skin now? you seem to be recovering well
