I am shocked, the girl didn’t even hit double digits yet and she’s already entitled to a car, 2 birthdays, and a phone. And a birthday cake. I’d say she still has a very small chance to have a normal life, but considering she’s threaten self harm to get what she wants and her mother basically enabling her daughter, she’ll be in a mental hospital for almost all her young life.

Oh no I most definitely feel bad for the little sister. She pisses me off for sure but it's not her fault. She wasn't raised right. They fucked up with not one but two children. I will say, IQ does not mean your smarter, it just means problem solving and information retension is just easier then someone with a lower IQ. There has been many instances of people with lower IQs being more successful then higher IQ individuals cause they work hard to bridge that gap and higher IQ people who know their IQ tend to slack cause the misinformation on what having a high IQ implied.
@MegaHarvickFan297 ай бұрын
100% agree. As a college graduate, I can assure you that there are a ton of dumb people who have both graduated from and work in colleges and universities. Higher IQ doesn't exempt one from doing low IQ things.

Yeah, also people assume things about you if they know your IQ. Because I have been harassed and berated by people before because I didn't know something even though I have a higher than average IQ. It's why I usually avoid the topic entirely and lie to people saying I don't know mine when asked; additionally, I had people assume I was being narcissistic about it also when I told them when they asked as well. Like, just because I learn quicker than average doesn't mean I know everything. Sorry about the rant. I just am unable to talk to anyone about it because no one knows about it being a problem.
@faithlesshound56214 ай бұрын
@@nighthawk0317 Having a high IQ is a problem for a lot of OTHER people. It's often better to keep quiet about being clever. In traditional, pre-industrial societies, being clever made you dangerous. Priests and teachers looked out for clever boys and sent them away to be abused by men in funny clothes and forced to memorise yards of meaningless drivel until they were safe to count rich people's money for them. Families could usually cope with clever girls but if they could not, nuns could deal with them.

OP deserves everything he has as an adult without his parents and so much more. He deserves those 8 years back and caring parents and a sister who isn’t a total brat. I would like to say though, it’s not the sisters fault. She was raised to where she gets everything she wants. She mentally couldn’t handle her brother getting a whole day because of his she was raised. Don’t hate on the kids. Hate on the parents for raising such a brat.

Had a client like this when I worked in care. This poor girl's family ruined her sense of reality, giving her a completely warped view of the world. She was literally proven to be the most important character in the room at all times by the way they ab*sed OP. If she's really lucky, they'll slowly detach her from her mother and make headway on connecting her with consequences and reality. It's just never going to work while Mom is there waiting to grab her and tell her she's the princess.
@katherinedupoise46042 ай бұрын
Yeah IDK why the parents can’t just part ways temporarily and let the father raise her while the mother gets treated for whatever she went through. No child should spend their life in boarding school or in a psych ward. She deserves a proper childhood. A normal childhood. It seems the father knows what she needs. I hope where she’s at has plenty of activities and opportunities for her so she’s not just laying in a bed all day on god knows what medications. If she hasn’t changed in the last year then therapy may not be helping and maybe that’s because she’s homesick even if she isn’t happy with her parents for putting her in that place. No child should have to face a big adjustment at that age and have their whole life uprooted and be in a strange place with strange people around. And what if she’s exposed to some kind of trauma from another kid there that undos any progress that does happen?

The only advice I can give OP is to close down the posts on this story and take his time to heal. As for his sister, the best thing he can do about that situation is to do nothing. Just let his parents deal with the monster that they created and also file a restraining order on her. Last thing I'd recommend is change your phone number, email, and home and ask your grandparents not to tell anyone about your new information.
@faithlesshound56214 ай бұрын
I would second that. For OP to feel he has to respond to every idiot on Reddit must be like having his own Alex Jones. The Sandy Hook kids' parents don't enjoy being targeted and vilified daily by every shock jock in the business.

I have an older sister, there is 4 years between us, on eachothers birthdays, we would get one gift from my parents, as my parents didnt want the other to feel left out, but we both understood that we were blessed in that way, my parents didnt have to do that but they did because they loved us, and wanted me and my sis to be equals. Me and my sister always appreciated it, and were never spoilt, because our parents raised us right and always explained the value of things. I am 25 now and my sister 30, if its my sisters birthday, my mum will still give me a gift or a small amount of money and the same for my sis on my bday. We always tell her she doesn't have to and neither me or my sister expects this treatment anymore because we're adults, but she continues to do it because she loves us. Me and my sister were lucky to have two amazing parents who taught us right from wrong and the value of things, and taught us to be polite and thankful.

My little brother is like this but toned down a couple notches. Anything that I have, he at least has to play with, or see, or touch... or destroy... I had just got a new mouse because I had my old mouse for like 5 years. I unbox it, test it out, grab a snack, and it's gone. IT HADN'T BEEN 30 MINUTES! Guess who I see in the living room, with it in pieces... MY. LITTLE. BROTHER. I took one of his toys because he should know better. Not destroying it, taking it for like 10 minutes... Guess who gets in trouble. ME. I HAD JUST BOUGHT, A 130$ GAMING MOUSE, AND HE BREAKS IT, I GET IN TROUBLE? (It was my OWN money) I'm back to using my old mouse that I've now had for like 6 years. Even though my mouse is a chonker, it's never broke, and has been a handy mouse. I'm still salty about my other broken mouse though. (I didn't even get my money back from my parents.) This isn't even the only story I have btw. I have PLENTY more. Just as a quick bonus story, I remember one time I went to make myself some pasta. It was those microwaveable mac&cheese bowls. It was the last one. I come out from my lair after have enjoying my first and only meal of the day when I see him... Standing there... MENACINGLY! He's mad because I ate the last mac&cheese bowl and BITES ME. THIS LITTLE FUCKER BIT ME. Guess who got yelled at? A. My little brother B. ME. If you said A... You are wrong.

Yo the story stolen. The original story has the sister as a brother. They just change brother to sister.
