I always thought this movie was so interesting. it perfectly showed the different world views of the rich vs the poor. I loved that detail that if you run/are ever in a rush you're just assumed to be poor. because that's just it when you're rich nothing is rushing you, you can do whatever whenever, while the people on the edge are always rushing to stave off some calamity.

You can see that when Raymond was shot they gave him some extra time so he wouldn’t die from his wound so I assume that if you get bed enough injuries like a gun shot or broken limbs your time is more impacted.

The thing about this movie that didn’t make sense is the rich allowing the poor, who are the drivers, machine operators, workers handling heavy equipment and such, to simply drop dead at some random moment when their life clocks run out. Wouldn’t that be very dangerous (and expensive) for the rich to have vehicles crashing, running into buildings, factory equipment running amuck, etc. because their overdrawn operators suddenly died. And what about airline pilots who gamble and go broke: planes falling from the sky and crashing into rich folks mansions. A very big plot hole there.

the only thing that kinda bugged me was how easy is to steal time here, so all you have to do is twist the guys hand and you will get his money no matter if its willingly or not. I mean dont they have like some kind of biological password or anything to allow transactions from arm to arm?. This simple security messure could fix many problems againts crime and mobs but i guess the story explains it by actualy saying that the whole point of this system is for poor people to die. And the time mobs are part of that system so it kinda makes sense why poor people dont have any security measures against robberies. But rich people dont have one either? just like the 1 million years box thing they took at the end. They dont need a passcode or pin number or biological recognition or anything to use it? But still, i was very impressed by the concept. A fantastic movie that was not very appreciated when it came out.

Baseless theory / hypothesis: if people’s life span on movie is like a digital clock, can’t someone hack the system, or create a glitch that stops the timer from reaching zero? To stop aging at 25 and have a default countdown of 1 year to live seems rigged. If I had option, I would let my body age in exchange to increase my timer without having to take another persons time. In movie-verse, I would prefer aging until 36-54 and then pass away before reaching 81-96.
