Storytellers, the popular drag racing videos telling of days gone by, returns with another episode; this one told by Ed "The Ace" McCulloch.
In this video, Ace tells the story of the day a disagreement with the late "240 Gordie" led to unintended consequences. The legendary Scrapper never made a threat he couldn't back up. However, one time he made a threat he never intended to follow through on.

it just comes down to being able to get together with these legends. It also has to do with the budget that we have to work with. The major issue is traveling to them. In this case, we were able to fly into Fresno A day before Sonoma was to start.

Late 80's, I think, I was in Washington state in restaurant having breakfast and a few tables away Ace and Bernie were arguing about something to do with the set up on the car. It seemed to be fairly serious and they were getting a little loud, I paid my check and left before any "violence" broke out.

A certain filmmaker had given us permission to use footage of Ace, then about three or four years later, even though we had documentation of the permission said we couldn’t use it. So instead of getting into some long drawn out battle, we just pulled it down. We decided we would redo the episode. This storytellers episode was polled from the new footage. It’s in production as we speak.
