As a single father I raised my three kids without "help" from the government. As a male I didn't qualify for many of the programs that flat out discriminate against men. I never received a dime in child support. Now that my kids are successfully on their own I am glad I didn't become part of the government dependant culture that so many women are trapped in.

Omg I totally agree with you. As a mom i had to learn to not micromanage the way my husband interacts with our kids. It’s definitely hard because moms are so geared towards nurturing but when we allow our husbands to step into that role without us hanging over their shoulders, both the kids and husband truly blossom. My kids run and cheer when he gets home from work cause they know the real fun is about to begin, lol.l wouldn’t have it any other way.

Playing basketball with or rocket ship it's what we call the tossing you just said, I enjoy raking the leaves into a pile for them to jump into. Helping them reach a branch to climb a tree, Somehow some way I got my nieces to not be scared of my pet gecko chester I have a adorable photos of them holding him. Of course their being gentle with the little guy which is perfect. Also any other then out their that uses their kids, nieces, nephews and little cousins just to watch cartoons? I didn’t have an involved father but my uncles taught me everything from checking car oil levels, to playing chess, and just being great father figures. As long as theres great women out there who want to be real and not complain and play a blame game which sees themselves not really solving much other than becomming an obstruction to a persons basic freedoms. They are become that very social constract causing hateful men and evil resentful bastards who want the misery and ruin of all women. That is a huge truth. Hate begets hate and if hell hath no fury like a womans scorn then what some of those men feel right about now is even colder and more evil than the boiling temperment they've been given. Its a problem when little boys grow up tp become rapists and serial killers all because some women in their lives got under their skin. As a mom how woukd it feel if your son did that if he went out commited such atrocities and you were somewhat at fault in raising him to be a complete monster. I thank whatever higher power everyday and i hope that theres never a man who loses it and shoots into a croud of sjws in protest because it is their right to protest. But thats the kinda world we live in and every day there is this unsettledness between men and women to get passed real social issued the more social tensions build to shatter an already frigile American identity and memtality. To that I as just a man am completely powerless in stoping and it woukd take a miracle for some of those women to join in hand with some of the men they hate to stop any future where men just dont care about women anymore. Once a teacher in my school said she'll only let girls have turns when having a discussion about feminism so that men dont "mansplain" it. Well i as a girl raised my hand and said that that's ridiculous bc men have so many issues, such as hard time in court, higher homelessness and suicide rates and the huge pressure caused by toxic masculinity. Talking about women's issues don't take away anything from men, but if men's issues aren't talked about at all and you silence all the boys, do you really think they'd want to help advance women's rights as well? (moreso directed at your insane teacher.) One of the things I discovered when my daughter went to college is that her science and math teachers enjoyed when she got to the right answer in an unorthodox manner, but when her philosophy instructor was presented with a dissenting opinion she got the lessor grade. It wasn’t until she wrote an opinion essay that the professor or TA agreed with that she got the higher grade in spite of both essays being written equally well in my opinion. So she adjusted and simply wrote the opinion of the professor and kept her own ideas to herself. I had thought that college was a way to broaden your thinking, but that no longer seems to be the case. Case in point that guy who was not allowed to attend the talk. Dissenting opinions are no longer allowed in the non-stem systems it seems. Which is too bad. I really enjoy hearing my students come up with creative care plan for the patients we take care of and I find joy when they come up with a better care plan than I did. It makes for better patient care when all opinions are considered.

Yes, adjusting essays to “play to the audience” being the professors or TA’s opinion is commonplace. How do they know what the viewpoint is, the teachers openly make it know by ridiculing those who hold the beliefs they don’t like, and assign bad characteristics to them. Making a go along to get along school/college population. That doesn’t bode well for our future. That’s how millions of people end up with their possessions and lives taken from them.

The additional problem is that even the men that ARE present in their families lives, are ridiculed and ostracized for actually contributing to the family in the way that is natural to us. We are basically FORCED to accept the "maternal" practices of raising our children despite our opinions and interests. So our children STILL don't get the benefits of our "paternal" contribution. Ruffhousing is an EXCELLENT example. Far too often the "maternal" aspects are applied and the child's "presumed safety" is utilized to inhibit our ability to actually interact with our child in our NATURAL way.

I agree, my anecdotal situation... Almost every “teachable moment” that I see to discipline or attempt to instill a value in my kids is immediately undermined by my wife or mother. For instance, if I’m getting on to my son for X, my wife or mother will immediately come to his defense and try to excuse whatever it is that he is or isn’t doing. So now, he knows all he has to do is pretend to look sorry long enough for me to get tired of talking or till his “back-up” arrives. He is completely spoiled and coddled. Even when I try to explain to the wife and mother that what they are doing is detrimental to his development, they will double down on their justification for undermining the father in front of the child. He is almost 7 and has the emotional maturity of a 4-5 year old. Now I find myself not even trying sometimes as I know I’ll just get intercepted by overly empathetic “friends” of his (aka his mother and grandmother)

I used to carry our newborns slung over my shoulder, not holding them at all. Sometimes I would instead carry them, even our premature born first, in one forearm and flip them fro. This is one of the reasons why I'm still angry with my sisters. Throughout the last several years, they've always blamed our dad for being a bad parent, despite the fact that he had a job AND career, where he worked 9-5, five days a week, that provided for us for effectively all of our childhoods. If anything, my sisters had it easier than I did, as they had long-since moved out of the house by the time my dad lost that job. Now I'm not going to pretend my dad was a saint - my mother was no saint either - but they were human...they were flawed. And they got into arguments a lot...and I feel somewhat of an alienation between my entire family because of how frequent arguments could come up. My dad...I admit, didn't spend much time with us once we were teenagers, despite the fact that I really would have liked him to. But I understood the simple fact that after coming home from work, spending a near 2-hour commute in Atlanta Traffic to come home, my dad was exhausted and wanted nothing more than to enjoy the brief hours he had before doing it all over again. A Thank-Less Job... Instead, my sisters blame him for basically everything. I admit that my dad was kind of henpecked - not just by his wife, but also by his own daughters. It doesn't really surprise me that my dad ended up going off with another woman just a few months after mom died. I don't condone what he did, and I can be angry about that...but I can at least understand what he did.

My dad was/is like that... I think he suffers from depression, because of his bad quality of life. I hate saying it... But because of that and his quiet nature, I don't know my own father very well, outside of basic personality traits and interests. He's always tired, working at home, and out of home. I see it all the time. Boys with no father's in their lives either shy away from physical play or go too hard and alienate themselves when no kids want to play with them because they don't understand they are too rough. Rough housing teaches kids how to play physically while still being under control. I purposely let my daughter get a little out of hand so I can stop her and discipline her when she dives into me a little too hard or jumps from a perch that's too high.

Kids aren't allowed physical play anymore. Football is sexist and leads to head trauma so no more football for boys, physical contact in schools is now considered physical or sexual assault, kids are being banned from having "Best Friends" because it "excludes other children." Pythia Sibyls pretty accurate. In middle school I was always taught to run to the counselor when you are bullied, instead of, you know, fighting back. By fighting back, you assert yourself as not a pushover (which no man should want to be) and that you are better than your bully mentally and, in a lot of cases, physically. And what’s always funny, the male victim and bully sometimes become friends after a physical altercation between them occurs.

It isn't really a scam. If a student is serious about getting a top-notch education, he can still do so at most universities in the US. It's a simple formula: choose a hard major at a good school, and then work your ass off. If a full-time student is not studying at least 8 hours per day (in addition to class time), 6-7 days per week, then he is not working hard enough.

It means you dont have to do it yourself." I came from a single mother household, and had 2 sisters, never a man in sight my entire life. My mother was a new age feminist...and it's honestly a joke what she tried to do to me: she "didnt need no man," but she seemed to need to rely on child support and stealing any wages I made when I worked as a 14 year old child. My feminist mother did nothing but steal from me, and only me. She never did this to my sisters because "they're girls" and "it's harder for them." I'm a disabled veteran and I made the foolish mistake of trusting this woman again later in my life; she embezzled over $10k in my veterans benefits, took out a loan in my name, and defaulted on it. I never trust a feminist. I almost don't even trust women because of what my mother put me through, but I have been learning that not all women are bad.

Seeing and hearing about this makes me glad to be a 70/80s child (Gen X). We were allowed to have genuine childhoods. Complete with lumps, bumps, scratches and no trophy when we lost the game (coach always bought us a slice of pizza:). If we got out of line, we got disciplined just enough to make us never want to do it again, but mostly due to the embarrassment of being schooled by the parents in front of all your friends. Best of all, we were forced to use our imagination to make the most of what we had.

I didn't have a father as a child and it ruined my childhood. I remember being six years old and trying to kill myself, and again at 14. I had nobody to teach me how to be a boy, let alone a man. I suffered through bullying, nobody taught me how to defend myself, I could not find friends and I had no idea how to talk to women. Now at 42 I have raised 4 boys and have 2 new grandsons...All 4 boys are decent men and I will do everything in my power for my grandsons to ensure they do not suffer the same childhood I suffered

Been saying this for years now, but welfare was originally meant for women who’s husbands died in war. Thanks to LBJ he changed that regulation to allow women to live off tax payers to raise kids. In my country welfare came from the Great Depression. It was originally explictly defined as a temporary help up for the 'sober' individual to get back on his feet and working. It was always intended to be temporary and conditional and only a hand up to get back to work. It quickly turned into a cradle to the grave hand out. I can summarize the different parenting styles with one interaction my girl and I had with our daughter. She was climbing over the back of a couch to roll down the front, mom says: "Be careful"; I say: "Do a flip". It's really sad how often parents don't just let their kids succeed at something. My daughter is four and recently at a playground that had a small dirt hill, decently steep, that led to a trail about 10 ft above. I pointed it out and told my daughter to try and climb it (it was steep enough to where you had to go on all fours and the kids needed to grab roots and branches to climb). Immediately every kid flocked to this little dirt slope, the play structure entirely abandoned. Every other parent, including my wife, were hesitant to let the kids try. One dad even told his boy, maybe 3, that this challenge might be too much for him. But let me tell you, parents dont like the feeling of being the no fun fuddy duddy. After I kept insisting the kids eventually could climb up and slide down without assistance. The reaction from some of them was hilarious but also sad to me. The idea of an activity like that is being pushed out of kids despite their obvious natural affinity for it. I'm telling you, this was a cool playground and there were zero kids on it because I pointed out a dirt hill. Its very reminicent of Pharrels point, in another interview, how even having dads in the neighborhood helps kids. I think I acted out why that's true.

A teacher of mine taught me that women are more likely to go to college because they listen to authority while men question authority for reassurance to see if what they're taught is truthful and to be taken seriously. Any dictatorship and communist issue is caused by the fact that the people listen and don't question authority. Yet the college teachers and what not go for women to recruit women cuz they don't want to be questioned. The matter of the fact is that the way student are enrolled is biased and oppressive and that colleges (the place for advanced learning) don't want to be questioned even though that's how humanity and science as a whole have progressed. Just had my first child. My wife of two years, relationship of five years total so far still with me. This video is so relevant because I was informed by one of the nurses that it's a lot less common than one would think for a father to be present with the newborn because either the mother doesn't allow them to be or they don't stick around for whatever reason. That says a lot to me who couldn't have imagined NOT being here for my wife and child. You are absolutely correct ! We have a friend whose wife smothered their son who is now 27 with her supposed love and concern. The father was so bullied by his wife that he basically allows her to wear the pants and now she won't let him go to work because his employees might give him COVID-19 which he might bring it home to her, which we know is total BS. The son went to a university and studied to be a lawyer, which was difficult for him because mommy reworked all his High-school papers if not writing them outright. She also used to be a school teacher. Now with his law degree, he has decided not to take his bar exam. We believe it is because he cannot contend with the stress of studying for the bar exam. So now he sits at home with no job with mommy and daddy take care of their worthless son and have to afford him all his expenses because he has no motivation to get out and make something of himself. We blame his mother for what she has done to her son, but we also blame the father for not standing up against her to help turn his son into a man. My other half won't let me say anything to them because that man is his partner in their business and I cannot push my partner to do something he is not comfortable with, which is speaking frankly to the father about making his son stand on his own two legs !!!

In my case, my ex-husband abandoned me after I was four months pregnant and has barely featured in my daughter’s life - she is 16 and he has not seen or communicated with her for the past 6 years. I am a professional and have managed to secure a good standard of living for her and I without welfare. However, when I became very ill 6 years ago and was advised that I may die or becoming disabled (physically immobile), his absence became a problem, as she needed another parent to lean on. Unfortunately, when I reached out to him, he provided no help at all to her. As he left me after I got pregnant, I did not have a choice other than to be a single parent, even through the worst periods of my illness. Do, however, agree that she would have benefited from having a father in her life, as would I - single parenting is very stressful.

It's a common claim by feminists that men hold positions of power, money, and influence. But let's examine that for a minute. The real power comes from who the beneficiaries are of power. Is it men? No! It's common knowledge that women control the vast majority of spending, and if they aren't spending it directly, it's being spent on their behalf. The reason men hold those seats of power, money, and influence, is simply because men are the ones willing to take those seats and do the work - women are not. There is absolutely nothing stopping women from taking them if they want, they just aren't interested in it and choose to leave it up to men, obviously with the condition that women are the primarily beneficiaries. When the few women who are interested choose to take up those positions, nothing stops them. There is no cabal of men stopping women, it's women themselves who prioritize life choices differently that CHOOSE not to. Speaking of Farrell, he is one of the most unassuming, soft-spoken, intelligent, and heartfelt person you'd ever meet. Hardly the stuff of hate speech. The 'mom loves by doing it for their kids' part really got me. I had arguments with my mom because she insisted i help my younger brothers by doing things for them. I usually teach them HOW, and let them do it on their own.

I've been apart of this crisis since I was a kid. I didn't have a father in the house, plus I was raised by my grandmother. She was very unstable and selfish. We lived in 8 different states and 16 different places growing up. I was always the new kid at school. My grades suffered as a result. This problem needs more attention. Thanks.

Back in the sixties there was even a popular TV ad with the line "Mother, please, I would rather do it myself." It resonated with EVERYONE. An add saying "Father, I would rather do it myself." would not have. Onr going "Oh, yeah? I can to!" and the kid attempting something only a father would goad a child into, that would have and too many of today's children haven't a clue what an inspiration a demanding father is--and why those of us lucky enough to have had one love them much.

In my house Friday night: Son: "Mommy, can you make me my dessert?" Mommy: "Sure!" She put ice cream in the bowl. Last night in my house: Son: "Daddy, can you make me my dessert? Me: "Come with me. Here's the ice cream, here's the bowl, here's the spoon. Make your dessert. And put ice cream back in the fridge when your done." And I went back to watching Return of the Jedi.

I'm a teacher and I can confirm that having both parents is necessary. Every rough class I have had was full of kids whose parents were split up or one was absent. I currently have the best behaved, most empathetic class I've had yet and nearly all of my students have married parents or at least co-parent well. The worst class I had, more than half were living only with one parent. It was constant chaos and disrespect to adults and to other students. The kids did not have the same level of emotional control as my current class (with exceptions of course) . If you want to predict what kind of class you have as a teacher, all you have to do is look at how many kids have both parents in the home vs living with one parent. Dr. Farrell's comment about fathers teaching discipline held very true for me personally. I grew up with only my dad (mom died when I was young). There was no way he'd let me get away with backtalk or disrespect. I learned to show respect to adults and ither kids. There were no excuses. Moms can be too empathetic and excuse behavior because they know the child was upset about something. I can't count the number of times a student's mom told me "Well, s/he always does that when XYZ happens." Or "Why is MY child in trouble when another student did such-and-such." I think it accounts for how many kids we see with no sense of personal accountability. It causes kids to think that they shouldn't be blamed unless nobody else did anything wrong instead of thinking they should do the right thing despite others doing wrong. Kids need balance. They need to have their needs met and they need to be taught that their needs don't automatically come before everyone else's.

As a progressive I find it so frustrating to watch college students do everything they can to prevent free speech. They are behaving like the Spanish Inquisition or religious right.

My mom tried doing my hw for me a couple times and I got so angry I would tear it up and after she would ground me I would write it in private in my room. Guess what, I passed every single time without her "helping" me. The main problem was my dad has never had the balls to help any of my siblings like a father would and I have come to learn his negligience and emotional outburts are what make him an effeminite bitch.

As a father, I won custody of my kids after the divorce. My kids went on to be very successful. I’m a big believer that men lead children into adulthood better then women. Single moms disagree with me at the same time their kids are exactly what’s described in this video. To all the single Dads out there, never give up, show up as much as you can in your kids life, and lead them into the world.

Yup, and now as a 30 something single man with no kids you have little to choose from but single moms. I’m not saying they are all bad but they are bringing a lot of baggage and drama. It’s an awful situation.

I'm a 30 something single woman with no kids, all by choice, and I'm stuck looking mostly at men that have a kid with multiple women! If you think it's bad trying to find a woman without baby drama, it's just as bad when you meet a guy and it turns out he's got THREE baby-mammas and child support. This situation screws sane people of both genders! I'd say go gay (as if it's a choice) but with the number of trauma survivors in the LGBTIQ Community that are just acting out sexually due to abuse even hay people are more and more often coming with the baggage of kids.

Pythia Sibyls I think you are generally right BUT if you are meeting men who have 3 kids with other woman that means statistically there are more single mothers than men who have children with multiple women. If that man has three children with three women that means there are 2 fewer single women without children than men. Unless the same men are having children with the same women, which I don't think is true, than its a 50/50 split otherwise the pool is smaller for dating men than dating women Its a serious problem either way but I think there are more single mothers than single fathers. The biggest point is there is selection bias here. You are more likely to hear from/be chased by a man who would have multiple children with multiple woman. The other larger group of men are less pushy and active. The phenomenon is bad for both genders as you point out, the problem is that the issues of the men are often ignored since we are deamed more privileged. Even if that is genericly true we still face many and different issues that should be faced (not that you disagreed with that in any way).

By watching his videos you made his videos go higher on KZbin's algorithm so it's recommended to more people. And no doubt you've talked about peterson to other people causing him to get even more popularity. You played a small part in his book getting on Amazon's best seller list. Not to mention the speeches he does around the world that he charged lots of money for. Sarah Jane He's a charlatan. He's using your ideological values to manipulate you and make money. If you are alright with that then fine. Its your life, you have to live it your way. Next time you watch him pay close attention to how he delivers his message. He speaks in vague generalities. This is so he can be many different things to many different people depending on how you interpret him. I have observed that often times he uses buzz words that are clearly meant to appeal to a certain demographic. He then sets up a us vs them dicodemy in which there is no middle ground. You're either with us or against us and the other side is evil. These are all signs of a charlatan. But you are mistaken if you think I think he's evil. I don't believe in good or evil. I live by the virtue of selfishness. In truth I have a certain amount of admiration for him. Not everyone has the will or the stomach to do what he does. But manipulating the weak to make yourself strong is pathetic and not becoming of a man.

It’s much healthier to have both parents in the picture. Kids from these house holds are usually more healthier mentally and wholesome individuals. Just what i’ve seen around me. Unfortunately i’ve also seen people from single house holds who have gotten into drugs. Yes they were from single mother ones.
