Heavenly! I've actually never had candied yams that were made fresh. Always canned. Mom used to have baked yams occasionally, tho. This really looks tasty.

Great recipe but I think if you were to layer the butter the cinnamon the nutmeg and brown sugar and regular sugar that way everything can forge together

Your speaking my language with the candied yams! I love yams/sweet potatoes so much! I will pick them over regular potatoes every time! I could probably eat them every day. I like them savory or sweet. Of course, I stand alone at my house in my love for them. But that doesn’t hurt my feelings at all, because that just means I get to eat all of them!😉Yours looked delicious! @@FoodamentaryAdventuresinFood I don’t have a bunch of fancy ways to cook mine savory either. I usually just do mine in the oven with chunks of onion, evoo & whatever seasonings you like. Or in a hobo pk on the grill(or oven) with onion & a brat & the brat juices flavor it. Sooo good! If you find some other ideas let me know. 😁
