A great walk, I have done a few times. I do wish people would keep their dogs on a lead if other people around. It may well be friendly but no one wants to be barked at as it can be quite frightening. Its put me off doing certain walks.

Hi Kevin, I’m going to do a video on it, but basically it’s the OutDoors GPS app. (Only used it on iphone). The app is free to download but only comes with a couple of demo maps of places you’ll probably never go. The best option, I think, is to purchase an annual subscription to the entire UK map library. This is £19.99 for a year. Given that individual maps can be £5, I think a £20 a year subscription is a bargain! You purchase the subscription (or additional maps) from within the app. Purchases can be a bit clunky but it eventually sorts itself out within minutes. Once you have the whole UK map, you can just get it to locate you, or type a place into the search. I think you can plot routes before walking (which I haven’t done) and also hit record and it will plot the route and let you save it at the end. As I say, I’ll make a video about it but that’s the basic stuff. Hope that helps. 👍

Now there’s a question! 😂 Moved here from Manchester in 1989 for work. Although the job contract ended in 1998, we stayed as the kids had grown up here and, (apart from the lack of hills) we like it here.😀
