I do love lectures on Saint Benedict rule, precisely on an analysis of St Benedict rule as it was then and as it is practised today, particularly in benedict and cistercian abbeys and how it can still today show us, in everyday life, how to follow His Path to Life in Togetherness and Love.

Unfortunately, I am in no position to advocate that Esther de Waal be named one of the greatest of the Doctors of the Church, certainly in our own time. These video clips can't capture her mind, her spirit, nor her influence. She remains one of the few living saints of our day. What a shame she does not have another 40 years to preach, to write, and to evangelize. Saints, sadly, are unique in their times and places.

How can I find St Benedict communities here in the US? Google does bring senior communities and monasteries only but not spiritual communities Esther is talking about

Look into Benedictine Oblate programs at a Monastery in your proximity.

She was meaning the essence of him through his works. So it enlightened her and her religious attitude, understanding and life. Basically, St Benedict's (works) did exactly what a saint should do: inspire us to live as holy and pious as possible and bring us closer to Christ. God bless.
