My favorite thing about political criticism these days is how it rarely ever acknowledges one's own side's short-comings. Drives me nuts. The debate would have so much more meaning and credibility, be so much more productive in informing voters, if we just admitted we were human. Doing it the way we've been just seems to always cast a person in the light of a liar, endlessly providing fodder for the opposing side-- a convenient excuse for evading subjects, ensuring they don't actually get discussed.
