I think it's time to leave this one alone, new contact with LOP or not. I want to see them deal with this privately, and us scratching the scab won't help. Likewise, I love the news, but I think simply telling us they have commented and based on that there is work to be done if they truly want to mend their friendship would have been good enough. I honestly think strad and luke came together at the worst time for them, luke had his divorce and lets not forget strad has lost his dad which in reality isnt that long ago, both in a different circumstance wouldve been awesome working with each other, comment made by luke saying strad and what his like off camera, you'll probably find is depression, i can probably lay money on it, i lost my dad in 2018, my best mate in 2019 and my mum in 2020, it didnt matter what i had around me, depression was severe, i honestly think where strads concerned seeing how close he was to his dad, hes feeling that more than he realises, it wont matter how big the house is, how many luxury cars he has, itll never be his dad, and he'll be feeling that for a few years. Luke obviously had his divorce to deal with, i think it was just two massive life changing things, not in a good way that caused this, i hope for them both they come to realise this further down the line and mend broken bridges

I’ve been a fan of both as I have connections to Utah and always love to see when it’s put on the map. I will say that over the course of the last few months, Stradman has started to show signs of being worn down by the negative publicity. Over a month off at the beginning of the year, taking longer than usual to upload new content, and taking a lot of air time to address the trolls of the internet. It translates, to me, as someone that is struggling with a lot of emotions. Everyone does. Especially as part of the grief cycle. I hope that off-camera, he is doing ok. I also hope that Luke is ok. Dealing with a different grief associated with divorce, job change (regardless of the circumstances) and being bombarded by people who see 15 minute glimpses into a on-camera life. It’s a lot. It’s sad to think that they both are hurting in different ways. Sending positive vibes to them both for peace, acceptance, and progress in each of their endeavors.

I’ve been watching Strad since he lived in his Audi. Dude has routinely shown himself to be a class act when it comes to adversity. His personality is indicative of someone who would rather spread positivity than beef with anyone. Idk Luke like that, never seen his videos. I only saw him in James’ videos. He seemed like a cool guy. Now, they both went through some traumatic things and it seems they bonded over that. I especially remember Strad’s video of him announcing his father’s passing; he went from trying to hold it together to absolutely losing it. The pain in his eyes was evident. Most likely he’s still carrying it to this day and he reached a breaking point when things went south with Luke. However it went down, it clearly bothered him. He could easily have went off, but he showed impressive fortitude in that situation and decided not to. I hope it all works out for them both. I also hope Sophia is being a strong support system for James. She seems so sweet.

I like them both. They worked together through challenging personal circumstances. They maintained a friendship and business relationship. Each of those is challenging, and it seems it pushed them both too far. Ironically, in a battle to prove who's right, the bigger man will be the one to back down and apologise first. I tend to side with Luke Terry, primarily because the Stradman brand has been going downhill in my opinion for some time. Gone are the videos from car shows, we have not gotten a cross country road trip video in a newly purchased Strad car in a long time and on the whole his content has became more and more repetitive and VERY Strad life centered. What I think is hurting him is I think he’s forgotten how to do what got him to where he is. I’m an ordinary working Joe. I’ll never own even a sports car, let alone a super or hyper car. People like myself rely on our favorite car KZbinrs to give us a glimpse into a world we can only dream of. Remember when James drove the Supra across the county? That was fine entertainment, same for his first C8. Didn’t happen for the Superfast Ferrari, the Z06, and most disappointing so far 6 days has gone by since he got the dream Countach and not a peep since delivery day in Miami. Stradman went to Sema and we got no video. Montery Car week? Nope. Those events in the archives of the Strad channel were some of his most viewed. Personally I feel like a lot of us still watch every video Strad post’s because out of habit and the hope some of the old good content will be in there. I doubt anyone will read or care about this very long and rambling comment from a middle aged Stradman fan, but I sincerely hope nothing but the best for you James.

It's safe to assume Stradman paid Luke roughly 100K per year. Luke wanted more money, which is very understandable while working side by side with a millionaire YTber. Luke likely felt he should be paid more of a salary closer to that of Stradman because he felt he did half the work for the video. (editing the videos, being on camera half the time). Luke thinks he deserves more money (ownership in the YT channel) and his reasoning for that is to accommodate him and his son's life in Utah also reasoning the current economy's state. Stradman declined his request (likely multiple times) and as a result Luke became unmotivated to continue creating videos with Stradman. Sradman saw this and felt with his newly developed attitude towards the future of Strad and his YT channel, he should fire him because his employment salary is high and an unnecessary expense for Stradman. So Stradman likely in some fashion told Luke he was fired and or at the same time Luke said he no longer wanted to work for him and left with tension. Summary: Luke worked for Stradman. Luke wanted more money. Stadman said no. They seperated.

Personally I believe this has to do with strad getting into a new personal relationship and Luke leaving one, as a guy in both situations I know that you change and really do turn into different things, and I believe this is the case. And sometime those changes don’t align to people near you, and causes this, hope well on them both.

100% , if this was a court of law , the evidence doesn't bode well for strad. Luke has been empathetic and strad has unfortunately lashed out. Strads next statement might be the difference between letting it run its course and Luke taking well justified legal action regarding defamation. Not a particularly smart move on behalf of strad given he's a public figure with an enormous audience. Let it go Strad !

Odd it took Luke six months to regurgitate this. Hearing both sides, it sound ls like a typical disgruntled employee thing. That’s why it’s not wise to hire close friends. Luke was hired and agreed to a certain position. It’s in his right to ask for a raise… etc. and it’s in Strads rights to deny the request. It doesn’t have to end in drama I wish both well.

Aaron this is so unfortunate situation with Luke & James. I believe the truth is somewhere in the middle. I will say based on what Luke response in detail I almost want to say his story sounds more reliable however i respect James and hope what ever is going he can offer to fix there relationship if possible. I will say that more & more people are saying that they have seen huge change in Stradman attitude seems not the same as before. Some are saying that the financial pressure maybe getting too him.

Not picking sides here. I can totally see where Luke is coming from though. It is very easy to spot content creators who are authentic and those who are not. Stradman has always come across as a persona and nothing more. The only times we got to see any sort of real emotion and personality was surrounding the loss of his father. I'm not a therapist nor a psychiatrists but at the moment Luke behavior is getting perilously close to blatant manipulation. Stradman/James definitely made some mistakes, and probably has a lot going on in his life too, but his response seems more logical in my opinion, whereas Luke is borderline instigating it, or hate-watching for no apparent reason, then taking the smallest detail and blowing it out of proportion to invoke an even stronger response. Like what is his end goal here? What does he think this will achieve? Why did he even start piping up about it now, more than half a year later. This makes no sense at all.

I have no doubt all these guy have very different personas off camera… they have their own lifes and go through things as any, and on camera they have to pretend everything is as when they left on the previous video. Also, the stress of not losing views, keep on growing, having new ideas, paying their debts, decisions to part with stuff… their life is not all rainbows and unicorns as younger audiences may think

I think Stradman is in another mind set and anything about his channel he will be on the defences and wants no one to be part of it, That's his choice. But stradman could have built up his channel more and his brand like DDE did with Dave joining the team. One day Stradman will look back and realize he should have brought in more people to his company to help him grow and delegate some of the work load so the channel can grow more.

I was and still am a very big supporter of the Stradman channel as I spent two years of my life living in a car with almost no money I feel like I relate to him in this way, but I do find it very unfortunate that he decided to take this approach instead of directly contacting Luke, when I found out that he left the channel, I was disappointed, but people have to move on at some point. I just hope in the future they can make up and move on.

When I watch channels like 'Matts Offroad Recovery' you can tell that Matt is a genuine guy who loves his freinds. He pushes, supports and promotes his freinds to start and grow their KZbin channels and has a desire to see them succeed. They are constanly doing projects together and cross promoting their channels. The truth is that we simply do not see this kind of thing with the Stradman and the 'Utah Crew'.

I must admit that I never liked the caracter that Luke portrayed on Strads videos,to cocky and the way He drove Strads cars was always a thorn in my side,but saying that,I am a subscriber on Lukes channel and He is not the same Guy and I enjoy His videos alot on His channel. Each to His own I guess😅
