I just found you and am really interested in how you paper piece with freezer paper. I can't wait to see what else you do. The Tree Tree quilt is GREAT!!! You are a wonderful designer. I've heard from quit a few quilters that masking tape leaves a residue so they use blue painters tape. Some even use washi tape

Fyi after you do your first masked line you could just attach a quilters / sewing machine guide bar to keep you even, it the hole in the back of your walking foot... some come with them, you might want to check it out @sugaridoo, oh wait I saw you using one in the second half...
