Oh yeah Neil!! I would have thought you would have been under a foot of snow by now. I am so glad that everything is going well for you. I finally recovered from getting run over on may antique Harley by a F350 and having my leg nearly crushed off. I am able to walk without assistance and most of the blood clots are gone. I finally decided I was not going back to my job at Big Pharma and starting a small engine repair/rebuild/restoration business spec dialyzing in engine drive welders. I already have so many I am swamped and could use an apprentice....You inspired me to start videoing my work and builds. Hi John its great to see you acned your dad work so well together.

"its a lawnmower not the space shuttle" gorilla welds are great for projects like this, they don't have to win any beauty contest, they have to be strong enough to do the job, and you adapted to the situation, overcame the obstacle and got er' done, also, that little vanguard sounds sweet with straight pipes, cant wait to see er' choochin' under her own power and moving some snow for ya'

Nice. You can brush acid on the areas that you want to weld. It will eat all of the galvanization off and your welds will look sweet.

U have used citric acid mixed with vinegar and stuff to remove scale from toilets. Dump anything's zini coated and within a minutes it will dissolve zink, but not too long cause it will attack steel

Love my cub cadet 2500 series. Im an electrician and have been using emt for so many projects. Emt is easy to work with. Although the price has quadrupled of the last couple of years i save everything i demo from jobs and keep it for the small projects. Used 3/4 emt for my exhaust on my predator 212 golf cart conversion. Needs a muffler now though. Its so loud! You need to sand off the galvanized coating. Makes the welding cleaner

Its not bad if it works, and it works, so its a plus. Why spend a ton of money when you don't have to, work with what you have and what you can get cheap. May have to weld on the exhaust a few times due to vibrations those welds may not hold long, but its a great start for sure. More importantly it'll push the plow when you need it, who cares how the exhaust looks its a working tractor not a show piece.
