actually megan, your hair DOES need heat protectant!no matter if its thick and healthy its still hair and you should take care of it as much as you can...i dont mean to sound rude but its just an advice because ive been there and at the end my hair started thinning out...try to find a heat protectant that is light weight for your hair :)

Just a suggestion, but you guys should turn down the background music a little, it's hard for me to understand what you're saying when the music is up, just a suggestion, not hating, love you guys!

I have naturally wavy frizzy hair and what i do to make it smooth and shiny and have absolutely no fly aways is put a bit of coconut oil on the ends of my hair before blow drying it and it works amazing

I deff agree with the high end flat iron! I went through the phase of the $20-$40 flat irons and then got a paul mitchell and have had it for years!

I have extremely thick loose curls and I love the tresme heat gaurd in the red and black bottle. I also use the organix kukui shampoo and condition of im going to straighten my hair and a tiny bit of bio silk to finish it off at the end

I think it depends on what brand of "cheaper" straightener you use. I have a Remington that was $20 that I got 5 years ago and it still works like its brand new.

I have frizzy, wavy, explosive hair which I've had trouble controlling in the past. But recently I went to a new hair stylist for a haircut and she used the "it's a 10 miracle leave-in conditioner" and my hair has never been more soft or tame!! It's a spray serum that smells amazing, tames frizz, protects hair form the heat, and more! It's a little pricey, but a little bottle goes a long way and I HIGHLY recommend it if you have Hermoine hair like I do!

Why did you use straighteners on already straight hair? Your hair didn't look any more straight but it did get more damaged. You looked exactly the same at 3:00 as you did at the end of the video!

If your hair likes to frizz a lot, try "Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Intensely Smooth Leave-In Conditioning Cream." I use it out of the shower and it's helped my hair become softer and it doesn't frizz :)

I don't know what cheap straighteners you were buying... I usually get over a year out of a 20-25 dollar one. The first one I had I bought in 9th grade for 20 bucks and it lasted me a year and a half and so did the one I bought after that for 25 bucks. And both were dropped a lot due to the fact that my cat likes to walk around the bathroom countertop. But I have my newest one I bought in December for 35 dollars, and it works great, it gets up to 455 degrees and it's the 2 in. plate and makes my hair shiny and I totally recommend it. All of the straighteners I've had have been Remington, so I totally recommend that brand. :)

I have a lot of really fine curly curly hair and I bought a chi thinking it would do amazing things for me a while back, unfortunately it really ruined my hair! I switched to using ionic heat straighteners and my god the difference is amazing, the Hana pro straightener as well as the Babyliss pro straighteners have both changed my hair completely they are a little more expensive but last FOREVER so it's worth the investment. I also use Aussie 3 minute miracle (they have a whole bunch depending on what you need such as moisturizing, strengthening etc) on the ends of my hair in the shower after normal shampooing and conditioning. Before I straighten I use a heat protectant, some good ones are the redken one, tresseme platinum, loreal volumizing one as well and then straighten. After I straighten I use a tiny dab of conditioner through my hair just to avoid fly-aways!

For curly hair girls that have the issue of greasy on the top and dry on the bottom use organix coconut oil shampoo conditioner and let it air dry using a paddle brush brush the ends first to prevent breakage then when it's fully dry take your hair straightener my personal favorite is the Remington and straiten your hair how you usually would then after that take the organix coconut oil and put it on the ends to prevent breakage and then your done hope who ever reads this finds it easier thanks bye

My hair is a frizzy, poofy, very VERY wavey, and a oily hot mess. you know what i do? nothing! cause my hair is prefect just the way it is! sure I may not like it at times and it can be a pain in the ass to deal with but it's the only hair I got until i'm older. I don't use straighteners cause their bad for your hair. I get really annoyed when people have nice beauty hair then they go out and ruin it with a straighteners!
