You were smart to leave the cylinders connected to the bucket for the reseal job, it makes it much easier to work on.👍

Works good. I used the same techniques years ago to repair a car haul trailer that was in a wreck. Fairly mangled and after I got done you couldn't tell anything had happened.

The marking is ingenious I need to do that I'm always straightening something and it drives me crazy I never know when I have passed the previous point good idea thanks

Glad it helped. You can also measure how far out your hydraulic ram is if you're using one.

The bottom lips where the front meets the back are worn - these should overlap and this will support the front when carrying load. Build up both lips.

It's not worth the time and effort to build up a skid steer bucket. If that cutting edge ever wears back to the bucket skin I'll cut it out and replace it.

Ever think the bottom of the bucket has to thin of steel.. ? I hope that the bucket does not bend again.. Nice job..
@AlwaysBored1234 ай бұрын
I think it's probably fine for it's intended use but I guess we'll see.

Have you considered welding a pipe under the v in the bottom of the bucket then a plate so it is flat underneath? This will significantly stiffen the bottom of the bucket.
@AlwaysBored1234 ай бұрын
@@chrisoakey9841 That would be good but I would have to cut out the plate that's already there and I don't think it's strictly necessary. These things do fine as long as you don't abuse them.

You have the coolest vids man, how did you record audio at the end with the drone footage? Did you have a mic I’m guessing?
@AlwaysBored1234 ай бұрын
Thanks. Yeah I just had a mic on the skidsteer.

Question: did you pull out that pin out with the slide hammer by screwing into grease zerk hole?
@AlwaysBored1234 ай бұрын
@@smplyizzy No the grease fitting for those pins is on the base of the cylinder. There is a separate threaded hole just for pulling them.
