Pamela Acioli I literally just straightened my hair after two years yesterday and it was fine. I say go for it, I didn’t use anything too high/hot in heat, and only two passes. I didn’t even use any damn heat protectant because I haven’t used heat in years and I reverted straight back when washing my hair!!

Don't use really high heat. I'd say around 190° C. Deep condition before and always use a heat protectant. Don't do more than 2 passes and look for a straightner with ceramic plates (not titanium, unless you're a professional)

Little gold to keep it from being muddy, little ash to keep it from being overly warm, AND you used demi permanent! most people reach for permanent thinking “permanent” means it’ll last forever, but it actually means it permanently CHANGES or alters the structure of your hair (only good for grey coverage or going lighter)

I like the iron spray from chi, but you’ll see a much better result if you use the CHI straight guard smoothing styling cream for blow drying first, then the iron spray when it’s dry before you straighten it. It helps keep it more moisturized and helps with keeping your straight hair less likely to frizz or curl when humidity is around.

Chemicals and heat on natural curls are so damaging. I never colored my hair, but straightened it for years. Stringy ends and fried roots and breakage coming soon. But I guess she’s not worried about it. No one worries until their hair is damaged
