Actually with the land and house prices having risen so much in recent years, especially in the country, this means that ordinary family farms find the value of the farm, thanks to the new tax thresholds will push them into an inheritance bracket that will require them to sell those family farms, so not just the wealthiest farmers. Just like pensioners once you reach the twelve thousand pound threshold you have to pay tax and are not eligible to claim the winter fuel payment. One pound can push you over the threshold. So many poor pensioners will suffer as a consequence. So the myth about rich farmers and rich pensioners, as spread by Labour, is just that a myth.

This prime minister seems to be trying to divide and conquer by taking on one group of loyal UK citizens at time - first the pensioners, now the farmers - whilst at the same time genuflecting to those invading the country he is supposed to be defending. If the farmers, friends and families of the pensioners and all the other at risk small groups get together, he and his government could be in for a huge shock.
