Thanks for the update on the fire sad that again a fire in a hotel. My first family holiday in Blackpool was in the Brookland! On Wilton parade back in 1972 first of over 20 times in Blackpool mostly on the North shore sad that the resort has gone downhill badly🏨

Yes scaffolding was on other two buildings at time of fire, I know fires sometimes start in buildings that are being developed so it drew my attention.

Evening steven your drone footage is amazing im hoping to get a drone soon and fly it over the mersey river those drones cant half capture some clear footages and seeing your drone has inspired me to get more into photography but as for the hotel it could of been anything from a tile falling into an electrical circuite or a lit cigarette thrown into a bin and its caught something inntjr back yard and you wouldnt know if it was teenagers trying to act hard setting things alite there was a craze once in about 2005 kids were setting wheelie bins on fire on the wirral then a new craze braking peoples car windows now its stealing bikes that fire must of stank on sulfur wood and rubber combined its horrific to think a once loved building has gone for good more work for the council to pull down i hope these workies are paid overtime looks great in blackpool tonight brilliant video thanx for sharing your travels and we look forwards to seeing your next video 👍❤️🗼🏖️🏠😊🕊️

I saw some drone footage before demolition started and could tell it needed to come down, it was totally gutted inside and floors had collapsed (possibly due to all the water) but it clearly was beyond saving at any reasonable cost. Also those buildings were in scaffolding before and during the fire.

That is so sad , that used to be my ex mum in laws hotel , my kids grew up there , we were there every weekend plus Christmas and New Year when it was the Homecliffe Hotel 😢😢😢😢

Wow! They didn't waste much time in knocking that down! Sounds like one of those 'mysterious' fires which often happen once redevelopment plans are announced! That sort of thing used to happen quite often with abandoned pubs, down here in Portsmouth!
