This song always reminds me of when WNKU was shut down. Northern Kentucky University sold the license to a Christian Broadcaster and shut down all their transmitters. It was a publicly funded Alternative Music Station that played new music, old music, local bands, any music that was being ignored by Clear Channel and the other syndicated radio corporations. I found WNKU not long after my wife died. I have a long drive to work and I was tired of listening to the same rotation of classic rock songs over and over again. I start searching the dial and I found WNKU and was pleasantly surprised to hear fresh music that I had never been aware of. WNKU is where I heard Strand of Oaks for the first time. WNKU helped me through a period of grief and 'Radio Kids' always kindles my nostalgia for that time.
