There is nothing corny about rehabilitating wildlife and releasing them back into the wild. What an exhilerating and rewarding experience to get these deserving creatures back to where they are meant to be. As for the amazing people who care for the ones who cannot be released, equally rewarding and I so admire their passion and compassion for all the beautiful creatures they care for. And by the way, the Rooks are incredible!

Rodney wanting all the attention was so cute! He does have better manners than my rats. Whenever one of them is getting a nail trim, I'm always at risk of cutting another rat's whiskers.

I had never even heard of a rook before. They remind me of the Crows that hang out in my back yard; along with the pigeons, the Doves, the Quail, the little brown birds, and Hummingbirds.

I was listening to you & Gary whilst making breakfast, when I unexpectedly started tearing-up/crying when Gary described the cats all over the rook Sweetcheek' bird cage, the dark, dirty place & the her deformed legs & mangled feet..that was before I even saw her contracted little feet. I'm so happy she gets to be w/other birds & such a loving care-giver who relishes rooks❣Thanks for sharing your experience/making a visit there.
