8 day-old chihuahua pup Cliff has a hare lip and can’t feed properly, he needs urgent surgery. Cat sanctuary owner Liz brings in three recent arrivals for some much-needed TLC from the team. Cocker spaniel pup Sega’s eye irritation uncovers a complicated problem. Practice manager Maz brings in Buddy the bunny for a dental check-up and Scott throws a 12th birthday party for his beloved border terrier Betty, inviting clients and staff from the practice to celebrate.

@@VetOnTheHill Yes a baby squirrel..! One of my best experiences in my life. Only had him for little bit over 24 hours. My cousin called me to let me know that there was a little squirrel on the ground and she did not know what to do with it , so I went over there pick the little guy and bought him home with me. She got him a little bottle and milk and I fed him throughout the night. Next day I called a animal Sanctuary and we set up a time so they can come and pick the little man. Little did I know that the little guy had a little broken leg when he fell to the grown. I discovered it a little late into the night But I did inform the pick up rescue that I believe that he had a little broken leg. I called and it was confirmed he did have a little broken leg but he was gonna be fine and then released back into the wild. 🐿❤ live free. 🤗

Yes my geanddog had 5 puppies on my sofa! Yes it loved her and still have one of her puppies. It was a challenge and lots of fun ❤❤❤

This was puzzling to me. I have seen a lot of cleft palate pups reared by hand without the risky surgery at such a young age. It means more effort by the owner to feed this baby every two hours. No way would I risk putting a baby like that under anesthesia.

they explained in the video, the puppy was unable to be fed at all with the severity of the palate. it couldn't safely swallow even from a syringe tube. surgery was their final resort because everything else had been attempted.

who, the cleft palate baby? the whole reason for that surgery was because he couldn't be fed at all. they tried everything else. if the baby can't safely eat, it will die without surgical correction.

if the doctors believed shoving a tube down its throat for weeks/months at a time was a better solution than surgery, that's what they would've done....it would've died for certain without surgery, therefore surgery itself carries less risk compared to letting it starve the rest of its short life.
