Nice! Ive been playing a couple days and just drew my own map as I went to each island using my compass and labeled my drawing with N, S, W, & E but this will make it so much easier! I found the escape plane last night. Have not ran into any "bosses" though, dont even know what that is.

And if you create an island and put it in the game you can recreate the supplies. Go to the Cartographer, New island. Go through making the island and you can place it in the world. Get all the supplies. Go back to the main menu and replaced the island again. You can do that as many times as you want. You can build unlimited amounts of buildings and crafts. Just a add on tip.

This is helpful thank you! I kind of understood the cartographer was a map but I couldn't figure out how to understand where *I* was on the map. Knowing its the non boss red square helps so much. Maybe I should write this down on graph paper cause I seriously keep getting lost so badly every time I venture out. I get stuck for days and then die, wasting all the process of stuff I collected along the way. So this will help me keep track of where I am a lot, if I can make a sleeping bag or some more backup shelters to save each time. Maybe I can finally find the first island I started from. I made my home on a second island, but I miss seeing the one I started on too. Since I uh... can never manage to find it haha 😅.

Im just curious why you didn't use planks on your raft to build shelves. Your crates will fall off if a boss jumps on your ship

I figured this out early on as a great way to remind yourself where you are before you start. I didn't think to share. I have also.... sadly... made a map template and I update it for my own game. It is the same grid section with numbers basis and then a notes section below and on next page. Sad I know but... If I was stranded as we are in the game I would be making some sort of map and notes. Mine has little drawings on to indicate what side a large wreck, red container or mast is visible. Notes to tell me what wild life is there, wether I built a savve point, built a water point and so on. I prefer this way as I'm making it myself, not breaking the immersion and it works! Sad I know but I don't want to look at the cartographer!

There are actually 25 islands in the non-customized game. It’s so confusing because there are only 21 that show up on the cartographer but on my watch it says I’ve explored 24. I’m missing one island and I can’t find it.

You could create a custom map however you like it and place it in your current map by just replacing one square

I'm surprised there is not a way to make a map in this game. Like a plant that could be used as a dye or something. You could use the cloth and map as you go. Greasy video. Now I can figure out were the heck I'm at.

My raft is U shaped 7x wide by 6 length, in the centre I put the anchor for ease of access, 2 sails at the back one on each side and motor in the middle and 4 canopies. With shelving I have 16 units symmetrical 8 on each side spaced front to back. This carries 48 crates plus what you can carry. Its Titanic 2 :)
