What a lovely story. I've been a believer in reincarnation ever since I was a small child and had 'memories' and dreams of Germany in the 1930s. I even visited one of the places in Koln I saw in my dreams and as soon as the coach was approaching the area I recognised the distinctive big grey stone architecture and some of the buildings, even the river with the old cable car. There's no doubt in my mind that the soul does come back in another body, whether it's something that always happens or only happens if there's unfinished business I don't know.

Years ago people didn't seem to bother looking for their brothers and sisters when they were split up. People just accepted things as they were. Also, I think it was because it was much harder back then without the internet etc. Plus if you were adopted the belief was your parents had no right to contact you.

I used to have a dream over and over again,I hated it, I was always running through a train and a member of the german army shoots me in the back. I hated the pain in my back. I learned from someone that you can wake in dreams if you will yourself to, and thats what I did just before I was shot.When I realised that I was french and was in the resistance and that it was true, I stopped having it.

Ever since I can remember every now & then I have dreams set in the same two locations . One is a high hilly moorland with a village at the top & two lower down . The other is a old industrial type town , tall red brick buildings with a river flowing through . The two locations are always set out in the same fashion each time .

know that I have had several past lives .I've been here before it's very emotional and paining and terribly upsetting. you can't find it easy to get on in this lifetime ,when your pained by another lifetime . there is a huge amount of sadness I feel like half a person . it's weird to try to cope within my own family unit when I know there is a past lifetime which leaves me so empty and sad ..there is a feeling of sadness .I'm like two people .I know I had a husband from a past lifetime and I know I need to find out more about it . I'm aware of having had more than one lifetime .I've been aware of being hypnotised. recently and trying to recall my past lifetimes .I'm very aware of my husband from a past lifetime though .I know I was married .and I think I was happy but I feel pain and sadness sometimes .though .

Well I believe in reincarnation since scientifically it can be proved as well. Listen to the audiobook "The prism of science religion and spirituality." I guess book is also available online. There it is nicely explained how and why reincarnation is true....its nothing but recycling...energy gets recycled and is never lost...life is nothing but a form of energy.

This story is touching as it has a happy ending! There are just too many stories involving ordinary people about reincarnation. This is one evidence to support one aspect of the beliefs of Eastern religion like Buddhism and Hinduism. If one believes in reincarnation, then, the lesson for us would be to lead a kind and compassionate life so as to evolve to a higher level of consciousness on the journey to enlightenment.

In the Buddhist tradition, people are given instructions on how to avoid being reborn into the world of matter. The book is called Bardo Thodol. Translated to English it is "Liberation in the Intermediate State Through Hearing", which is a set of instructions that are to be recited to a person on his/her deathbed while they transition. This book is known in the west as The Tibetan Book of the Dead.

We all have numerous lives because we learn lessons here which not likely in Spirit because in Spirit there is only harmonymsnd peace. Is Jenny perhaps some kind of distant relative and she just never made the connection? It's also really sad that the children were split up in this way, so much so that the brother had to say "It's Betty isn't it". Barely knew or recognised his own sister.

This is a fascinating story but a very curious one. Several years ago there was a television program here in the USA that was based upon an almost identically parallel situation that portrayed a woman in the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania, USA who is allegedly a reincarnation of a woman from a village of the same name in Ireland. I believe that there was a book written about this American woman's experiences and that the television program was derived from the book. The circumstances of this American woman's alleged previous life in Ireland have distinctly close parallels to the British woman in this piece whose alleged previous life also took place in an Irish village of the same name. The abusive husband, the early death, the torn apart family , both stories have a deeply parallel theme To my mind that opens up a serious can of worms. Why the parallels? Why this village? Assuming they aren't fabrications (which I doubt...are they?), just what's going on here?
@juliz25008 жыл бұрын
+Sean Brickley Are you referring to this movie: "In 2000, CBS aired Yesterday's Children, which was a made-for-TV movie adaptation of Cockell's book, with Jane Seymour in the title role. For the TV movie, however, Jenny Cockell was referred to as "Jenny Cole" and the story was slightly rewritten with Jenny Cole being an American as opposed to British citizen." (Wikipedia) If so, then it means the movie is based on Jenny Cockell's life. Hence all those parallels.
@seanbrickley24318 жыл бұрын
I don't really know. It's been a long time since I've I visited that issue. Perhaps it's one and the same BUT I recall it being something direct and not an alteration and adaptation. Perhaps I'll get to check it out. Assuming it's an adaptation as you specify, the questions are answered (sort of) but if not, the questions explode.

There is no reincarnation. Jesus tells in scripture that we have one life only and people must repent of sin and get born again of the Spirit in order to avoid hell at death. Also they must commit to Jesus (not religions) and walk the narrow path with Him daily.
