Definitely a muffler bearing or the ashtray gasket

Don't be silly. Ashtray gaskets don't make ANY noise. Now the muffler bearing, that is a real good possibility. Especially that high frequency squeal.

Why was the power steering reserve bubbling like it was boiling? Could the PS pump be about to explode?

that is a bad noise and it went away after clearing codes, a bad cam phaser is all i can think of it did have cam codes, looks like there is more than one problem here, it stalled after the rear wheels hit a bump, thinking fuel pump there, you did well to pass on this one

All those codes near the beginning make it seem like a 5V circuit issue. Might be a chafed wire somewhere, which would explain why the problem comes and goes depending on how the van is being driven.

The noise sounded like when my harmonic balancer fell apart in the early 80’s but that noise only went away when i replaced it
@eyerollthereforeiam1709Ай бұрын
Wow, that IS a weird noise. I'm not sure how to describe it.
@MaverickandStuffАй бұрын
With all those codes, something is connected between them. I would think either a bad ground or a wire rubbed through shorting when hitting a bump.

Greetings Mr. Kenny, quick question, i have a 2017 Cadillac XT-5 with the 3.6 engine going on 90,000 miles. I get the dreaded "steering assist disable"" message. The code PO128 indicates temp sensor fail, however i have changed this with new temp sensor and same this happens. From all the blogs i have read concerning this issue GM does not really have a permanent fix for this. Any suggestions please much appreciated for any help with this issue. All the best, cheers.

They were having issues with the wiring harnesses on the engines in the Titan. These have the same engines so I wonder if it's the same problem? 🤔 And a mechanic that's above crawling around under a vehicle 🤔🤣🤣👍

All those codes are for sensors on a 5v ref circuit. The fact that the APP sensor was stuck low tells me it's probably not a bad ground. It's a bad sensor, or possibly a bad power to the PCM, or a bad PCM. The dealer is the worst place to send that van.

Very interesting. I wonder if the engine computer reads one APP signal and the transmission module reads the other?

The noise went away, because the engine smoothed out, when you cleared the codes. Something is knocking out sensors. Powers, grounds, and signal. A common ground MAY be the cause, but it seems to me that something is taking down a power or signal, and knocking out the associated module. (THIS is the stuff I'm concentrating on, in training)
