It’s a stretch to say is Wesker but could interpret it as uroboros escaping into the ocean, maybe hinting that it would return. uroboros is used again in RE revaluations 2.

Perfect timing! For the last couple of weeks now I decided to play it again after a short break from RE5 and aim to 100% the game with no fuss. Some of the content in the game such as the costumes, I noticed whatever you're wearing whether they're your original outfits; accessories optional to your original RE5 outfits, or unlockables; they all fall under the same category: They are all canon in the cutscene.

my own idea is that albert wesker's essence is inside jill valentine. That why her personality had change in the re:death island. Wesker is just waiting for the proper time.

Yeah I kinda got my own theory Wesker isn't dead, first he's been double dosed with that syringe, then when he fuses with the ouroborous virus in his final fight he's body is in a state of a violently super evolution state, when we think the lava is killing him, it's not he's actually adapting to his lava surroundings and uses the lava as a super Saiyan shield, AND you don't actually see him get blown up you just see a lava explosion he's completely mitigated the explosion in his hyper adaptive state absorbing the damage and not killing him, so until we see Wesker again he's just chilling in the volcano with that stone like ouroborous shield in an immortal state, maybe he did escape the confines of that volcano and he's biding his time in the shadowy waters we see and observing Chris and sheeva escape, I think it'll be a great story opportunity that Survivors of previous Resi games he hunts down and executes them which would round off all there story arc's which would solidify's Chris's resolve of killing every single B.O.W threat on the planet and set up the penultimate and most epic face off in Resident Evil with Barry Burton's weapon expertise and Secret umbrella knowledge he's withheld when he was a turncoat in the OG resident evil game, i think this story would be some absolute banger story telling that would wrap up Resident Evil in a way that would be the ultimate end to the whole franchise, what do you think of my theory craft? Daft? Or interesting?

@damienkrawczuk1435 I get it but I still don't want to see him come back, even in a remake. Because we both know with Capcom's recent remakes how they're going to drop the ball. I mean they can't even keep their own continuity. For example how Nemesis never had a dog form halfway through re3 or pulled a Birkin, there's also the problem where had the fan base not said anything we wouldn't even have u3 in the remake of 4 and that specific monster was used to make u-8 in 5 (it's literally referenced in one of the files you find in the lab levels, specifically the one where you have to use a giant elevator and fend off majini.

I honestly think that the wesker we see in Re5 is a clone. Every time we see him in 5 was him thinking irrationally and just downright out of character, it’s just like an experiment to see how things would go and how Chris would deal with him. Cloning isn’t new to the series, in fact I believe wesker did clone around re 3-4 not himself. He’s a super nerd basically and is very calculated, it’s just that Re5 seems odd to me and it’s totally a wesker thing to see what the effects of the uroboros would do to him if he mistook them. Maybe it’s just me coping but it’s so odd that bsaa in Europe is under fire now, where los plagas took place in re4 and that’s where wesker was most active in.
