1:43 Be careful with the BULLS brand. It's the house brand of a german bike trader group and it has a pretty bad rep among repair shop owners. They look cool but they save money/quality on essential but hidden parts like hubs, ball bearings and brake hydraulics. I've had to replace the headset and the swing arm of my 2015 1k Euro fully after 1 year of just commuting across the city taking shortcuts down some short stairs and curbs. I know it's mega mega cheap but it shouldn't just break like that after a year no matter what...

@@Ali_Clarkson Yes, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't cheat in their top-end flagship models, but everything below 2000 Euros is suspicious, because in that segment customers might not have a clue what actual quality looks like and just want the sales person to sell them something cool looking (i.e me 3 years ago...)

I'm not convinced that I would "definitely feel" the difference that aero-spokes would make. I think on a mtb especially there are so many other losses, that these would get masked to the point of not being noticed. Regardless its always cool to see tech get pushed a bit further, so I wish them luck with it.
@trys92625 жыл бұрын
also, im not convinced that "super stiff" is the way to go for mtb. look at mx where they make the rims in such a way so that they can flex instead of break and can provide slightly better traction through minor defomation

Ali Clarkson I agree. I didn’t know that with compliant rims the spokes flexed!
@dudeonbike8004 жыл бұрын
Agree. That was the biggest bullshit sales pitch I've EVER heard! The profile of their spokes differs from current bladed spoke technology by 0.001mm to 0.003mm in shape profile. Utter hogwash. "Cruise missile technology," my ass! Kwatsch!

No creepy dolls this year Haha Great video man! Always a treat to see the new products and getting your take on them. I'm blown away by the CNC bikes. I assume their frames are not made from a solid block of aluminum as that would be heavy in my mind with the tubes not being hollow. Great looking bikes and as always great video. Thank you!

Cut people with the disc of a disc brake? I have never heard of such incident lmao
@shadowxxe5 жыл бұрын
yeah like you would have to be directly under a disc brake and even then disc brakes aren't sharp at all so you would need a considerable amount of force
@domestique39545 жыл бұрын
we have many of these incidents in uci races,even cutting through bike shoes
@Metal-Possum5 жыл бұрын
@@domestique3954 Sure we do, because the disc rotors are definitely proven to be the culprit? That one guy who had his shin sliced open looked a lot more like a cassette or chainring that ripped him up. Cassettes are only getting bigger, chainrings are already quite big on road bikes... they're far more dangerous than a disc rotor.
@domestique39545 жыл бұрын
Alex Paulsen yes,the big front chainring is quite dangerous - still got some scars on my leg! I’m a kid of the sixties,and when i started bike racing the pack was incredible big,hundreds of competitors due to the huge birth rate at that time,so the start of the races always was a critical time with many downfalls.... I had disc brakes on my mtb shortly after millennium,but i still ride on rim brake bikes. Dura ace calipers with cool stop brake pads are actually of similar performance,and i hate the squeezing sound of the disc brakes,and they catch dirt and rub and rub.... I love the look and performance of a classic steel bike,the diamond shape of the frames with a straight top tube
@dudeonbike8004 жыл бұрын
Up until the advent of disc brakes, bicycles never had a large diameter, thin discs of metal on them. Especially anything with teeth.

Loving your vids,inspired me to go to Edinburgh pump track today and face planted.I’m 48 years young and know better. I’ve no skill but was fun until the blood and teeth smashing part.I was lucky that there was a German tourist on a hire bike who had a first aid kit.Put me to shame the fact he was more prepared than me. Local lad gave me some pointers on where I went wrong. Anyways,I had pads and a normal helmet on,so not too bad,but full face helmet is ordered along with a trip to the dentist. Lesson learnt. Keep up the great work.

The zip on tyres shine if you have ice some days, and then periods of warmer weather. Or for people that don't want to remove the tyre for a new season.

But the Zips won't last long once they get dirt in them stupid idea only needed as everyone's running tubeless and can't be assed to change their tyres

@@allwaysinquire6212 I run both. Lets not pretend tubeless is for everyone, especially on slim tyres. You can hose down the zippers if you ride in mud and want to change the tyre. However the typical commuter, which the zips are ideal for, typically don't ride in any mud.
