I really like the wonder and positivity you bring to these videos. Also, you do seem like the most real vlogger, you make it okay to be an enthusiastic Disney adult. I'm sure we'll all miss the Japanese/Chinese vlogs. 😊

The free hotel bags are brilliant! They easily fold up and can be crammed into a purse. We got one in Osaka, when we were staying at the Keisen at Universal. So for a good week I was using that bag to hold all my purchases. When shopping, many places will charge for a bag, but I was totally ok with helping the environment and reusing that bag, as it was fairly big and easy to carry. So throughout that week, I was essentially advertising for that hotel, for free. THATS why it’s brilliant. Free advertising!

People's Opinion of Tom: negative, hates Disney, complains about everything...Actually Tom: genuine happiness and excitement opening a themed postcard/window clings kit in the room. These vlogs have been so great. LOLed for real at "the evil is among us." I completely agree about that!! Team Diet Coke! Also, I would have never known unless Tom said it occasionally that he's shy. When I met him at Disneyland last year, he was super nice, SO giving with his time, and chatted about the new food that had come out just ahead of San Fransokyo.

I wonder if the “weirdness” of the buffet is them trying to prevent the spread of diseases. The one person pouring the bottles, the person going around with a menu to order from.

"... cause I'm a mental case." Ha. Oh, the bottled water, I was in a very nice, business hotel in Mexico City and that was standard. Nice room, cute mirror tile. All in favor of not growing up? Hey, I like the view! It's not... normal. "We never do anything fun in America." Yes, the next generation Disney places have taken all the old good stuff and the new good stuff and put them together! Very cool, and a very good idea to rest before going to the park. I wish there was something like this in Florida, 'cause when my sister and I go on the Disney Treasure in February, we're probably not going to the parks, and something like this would be very cool.

Hey mate.. I watched your video before going to Shanghai and I would like to share my experience... At this point in time the only Disney Park that I didn't go yet is Paris. The least enjoyable experience that I ever had was in Shanghai. We stayed at Toy Story Hotel as well. The structure is amazing, but the staff doesn't speak English and the experience wasn't that great in general.. I couldn't even use the phone to order anything, because there wasn't any English speakers available to take the calls. I had to go to the lobby to translate or try to speak a bit of English with someone. You see that they are making a huge effort to understand you and give you a great experience, but is very far from an authentic Disney experience, for example from Disney Cruise, which was one of the best experiences that I ever had with Disney. The only time that I had an OK time eating at the hotel, was during the breakfast... they have a small section for western food. The other times, no options. It seems that they are not prepared to receive overseas tourists. That was my impression that I would like to share. I think Disney has A LOT of work to do to bring the level of services from Shanghai Hotel and Park to the real Disney Standards. Although, the best ride that I ever had in any themed park was the Pirates of the Caribbean one (Shanghai), and the Zootopia one (Shanghai) was pretty good. During my trip that finished 3 days ago, I went to Japan (Universal and Disney Parks), Shanghai and Hong Kong. Hong Kong was one of my bests experiences with Disney. Both Hotel (Explorers) and Park. I got a bit intrigued that the only Disney that I didn't receive any surveys was Shanghai. I do agree with you that the food culture is weird. But the culture in general is very very different from the western culture.

"pork trotters" is the same thing as "ham hocks". It all depends on the way it's made. I've had wonderful trotters as well as forgettable ones. There's a bunch of different cuisines in China: Cantonese, Sichuan, Anhui, Hunan, Fujian, Shandong, Shanghai. etc. You can also add Hong Kong which this an evolution of a combination of all of above and Taiwanese. All of it is radically different in styles and spiciness. Anyway, thanks for a pretty comprehensive look at the food.

Wow, the food selection looked fantastic. I'd have to avoid it due to my CGM. Very nice. I've had pig's feet several times, but chicken feet only once, in San Francisco. I was the only one who ate them, and I like them! Next time, take me and I'll eat the chicken feet. Ya know I value your opinion when I watch you eat buffet for 40 minutes without know WHAT exactly you're eating. Very interesting. I mentioned what I was watching to my son, who is not that Disney (not at all) and he actually was interested. Good review.

I haven’t looked into Wandering Moon but I had been fascinated by its menu and was bummed it wasn’t open when I went. If it’s closed I don’t think it’s refurbishment because I think it’s reservable for private events and when I went they were doing a Duffy merch lottery event where you entered the lottery to get to go shop inside that restaurant. I think maybe it’s just plain closed and has become event space weirdly
