this might be a long shot and i’m also not sober but maybe the reason red heads are looked down upon according to the epsilon website is because cris formage envies kraff who he probably knows was a redhead. because kraff can time travel, he might have existed while cris was alive and shown him his ideas, making him one of kraff’s first followers. later in cris’ life when the cult really got a following, i’m sure he made up that the system of the epsilon program was meant to be all be charity-based. francis (or kraff) only asked for arthur (or john) to find rock carvings and that gave him no wealth. after learning what kraff could do and learning whatever kraff wanted to happen (which my guess is he just generally wanted a religion surrounding kraff or whatever), cris realized how profitable all this information would be. maybe he learned some “supernatural” tips from kraff and knew that it could make him a lot of money to teach people to know about their past lives or whatever it is they can do. he put himself at the top of the pyramid with everyone below him (the epsilon program members) and the money from all those people would eventually go to him. honestly, smart move. now this is my theory regarding everything i just said: cris knows kraff can time travel and fears that if he came to this paradigm, he would ultimately be put at the top of the pyramid or destroy the system all together because it’s not what he wanted the program to be. so, cris formage formed the current program with the belief that red heads are not descendants who are able to adopt the religion of epsilonism. if kraff came into this paradigm, the members would stay away from him or attack him if he ever attempted to prove who he was. i believe kraff will always look the same or at least have red hair and a birthmark when he time travels due to francis (the baby) having these features (assuming the child is a reincarnation of the original francis which im 99% sure of). i also think this could be irony from rockstar about the belief among a lot of people that jesus was real, but as time went along, his followers twisted his words into their own thoughts and opinions through the bible or other religious books. i hope this makes sense i might just be trippin but at least right now this all would be pretty fitting to me. sorry this is long if you read all of it uh thanks and let me know what you think

This is a great theory because it may actually be a reference to real life Scientologists (the 'religion' that Epsilonism is based on) and L. Ron Hubbard, the creator of Scientology who was eventually disavowed and disowned by his former disciples after an internal power struggle in the 70s and 80s led to David Miscavige taking over as de factor leader (BTW, David Miscavige bears more than a passing resemblance to Cris Formage - their surnames even sound similar). Francis Sinclair and his time-travel shenanigans might be an allusion to L. Ron Hubbard's career as a science fiction writer before he emerged as a cult leader.

'Francis Thomas Sinclair (Thomas short for Tom like Cris Forage said in GTA5 15:24 ) is definitely the 4th Paradigm in RDR2 . My headcanon is that Epsilon is actually the true religion/spiritual philosophy in the GTA universe. Mostly because of the cutscene you get by dying for the first time in Gta Online (some may choose to write it off as non-canon, I don’t), but I also figure it would fit within the theme of heavily parodying IRL stuff. Like in South Park where Mormonism is the truth, in GTA its equivalent of Scientology would be the actual truth. There’s also Children of the Mountain sect, but they’re a lot more like a fancy psychology/psychoanalysis scam group and have a lot less going than Epsilon

I thought Strange Man would figure it out, but since nothing points at it directly, I guess he decided not to speculate on the matter. The reason why Sinclair is the only real known time traveler and why Epsilonism demonizes red haired is that the founder of Epsilonism probably met Sinclair at some point. He learnt a lot from him. His knowlede about the future were enough to create a successful cult. He couldn't time travel, but instead he put his knowlege to his own favor, egoisticly lifehacking our reality. He afraids of Sinclairs response though, so he instructs his followers to beware of red haired people.

Interesting. What if Chelonia is part of this mystery too? What if paradigms 1 is the late 1700s, when Chelonianism was founded? Both Chelonia and Epsilon have the light blue clothes, the cult vibe and the theme of giving up your worldly possessions to achieve something greater? What if Chelonia dies out and Fromage finds records of it, and then revives it under a new name and turns it into a moneymaking scheme? Clearly SInclair fits into this somehow, but I'm not sure how. Perhaps he traveled further back and inspired the first Chelonians? But then why would the 4th paradigm be significant? Also, mention of the 4th paradigm energy war reminds me of Direct Current Damnation, the magic lantern show that's constantly playing everywhere in RDR2

Perhaps Chris came across something we dont know, but since he founded epsilon he could've wrote whatever he wanted. He probably wrote to not beleive in red headed people because kraff is indeed Francis, but in order ti keep full and total control of the epsilon program was to shun Francis. One of the interesting myths of the games. The reason why I always believed Micheal could join the Epsilon Cult was that his DNA was somehow involved with the cult, which was maybe one of his ancestors was part of it. Chris could have been a deity roaming around the planet for a long time as you can meet him when you died for the first time on GTA Online, flying as an angel/god talking to you about restarting your life once again. Epsilon is a Greek letter and what is cool is that in Red Dead Redemption II, lots of Greek mythical references are made and so was in GTAV. Lots of references in Red Dead Redemption II show you that the Epsilon Cult exists in some capacity, for example on the Epsilon internet site they say that trees can talk. That reference can be found in a forest where you hear spirits talking to you, indicating that Rock* is pushing this part of the Epsilon lore forward and that they are trying more and more to connect everything together. Of course is the modern Epsilon Cult from GTAV just scamming people, but the more you play every Rock* game involving the Epsilon Cult, the more you notice that it goes much deeper in the lore and that makes this so extremely interesting. Francis Sinclaire is definetly involved and could have been the one trying to save someone in the past, but because of his traveling, he created a time loop that accidentally created the religion. The map that he created on the wall, was a large clue about a lot of things happening in the game, and I honestly think we still haven't connected all the dots of that map. We found everything there is to find in RDR2, but we haven't connected them. Is he traveling through 4 types of timelines? Egyptian times/medieval ages/Wild West/present? Because there are 4 corners of that map+ show a certain culture like a man with a shield and spear, a futuristic city/city of today, the sphinx and so on. Only time will tell what it could have ment.

I think there is more to tell about this mysterious Cult .i don't think its just about Scam there is lots of signs appearance in gta series that made it like a puzzle with lot of missing parts .

Sinclair could be Kraff himself or from the bloodline of Kraff. I have a feeling that Kraff at the very least, is an alien and those with the birth mark and red hair, are descendents of Kraff. Something is going on at the highest levels of Epsilon and they are waging a war against Kraffs descendents.

At 6:05 when Arthur pulls the wanted poster of the princess down...its hanging over the word "whiskey", painted on the wall. But, specifically, her poster blocks out the word "HIS". Who does she belong too? This is the question that keeps me up at night....
