Both people here never break character. They both know what they're getting into and they both improvise around each other brilliantly. I expect it of Will Ferrell but to see Dustin Hoffmann improvising is just great.

There is something so organic about these interviews. It's like the police interview tactic of, silence must be filled. So, when the pressure is on the entertainer to be interesting on both ends of the conversation it brings about a lot more fluid dynamic with the others being interviewed. I don't know who came up and refined this format, but it's genius!

Well, I liked the movie-it had a lot of twist- and it was about an unusual subject and Will Farrell (who is a good actor) was playing it straight, I love Maggie, Dustin, Queen Latifa, Emma Thompson and Linda Hunt. These guys are just improvising and not really talking about the movie which is a big let down so don't waste your time on this interview which is why I usually don't watch Will Farrell movies. I only watched this movie because I saw Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson's name and figured it should not be too stupid of a movie and it wasn't.. I especially loved Maggie Gyllenhal's role- and I loved when he brought her flours- that was so Original- The thought of someone narrating your life makes you pause to think about what your next move will be - do you want the narration to be positive or negative.. if we all lived as if someone was paying attention to our lives - would we live better lives.. this character did.. he grew conscious of the waste of his life and found purpose and joy and then no longer just lived each day waiting to expire.. but instead fought his expected expiration date and won! Very satisfying movie and something unexpected.
