Hey guys!!!! Danny and Niamh here back with episode 2 of season 3, The Mall Rats
I love this episode... and any episode that utilises Starcourt as much as possible because it is my fav location in Stranger Things ever.
Danny is truly getting into the tone of this season. And hands down my favourite part is his reaction to Steve and Dustin's reunion - it was SO WHOLESOME 😂 please let us know your thoughts. This episode is so much FUN ⭐️

Invasion of the Body Snatchers. One of the best things about Stranger Things is the way they have fished around for all sorts of 80s narratives and beyond and shoved them in in a great homage and made it into something great. The Terminator, Cold War, 80s horror movies...many more.

I was Nancy’s age around that time and the mall was exactly how it’s portrayed here. It was the place to go. And the season has perfect music and clothing.

You're absolutely right about the whole plot with Billy acting as a sleeper agent being like a cold war allegory, and kind of a parallel to the more blatantly cold war stuff going on with the Russians that the Scoops Troop are spying on. Did the Duffer brothers deliberately intend for possessed Billy to be a cold war allegory? I'm not 100% sure, but they definitely intended it to be reminiscent of Invasion of the Body Snatchers, and that movie was very much a cold war allegory, so I think it's pretty likely that's exactly what the Duffer brothers intended.

The teacher is one of the best side characters! He drops everything and just builds a whole science experiment to show Joyce why her magnets could be falling 😂 Also seeing El get to be a teen and get to have some more friends is really wholesome, I've always loved Max so seeing them turn from rivals in previous seasons to friends was really wholesome! Excited to watch this reaction, ya'll are the best reactors on KZbin imo and you have no idea how excited I got when I opened my computer and saw ya'll posted! 💛

Have to agree on both points. Mr Clarke is ADORABLE! And Max & El has to be one of my favourite relationships in the whole show 🥺 you are the best, thank you for always supporting us. It means so so much 💙hope you enjoyed this one!

So is the Upside Down also in the Mirror Universe? If so then why no goatees? They should put a sign up for a limit of 1 sample per day per purchase. Actually, in many places around the USA, you need permits to protest mostly to give the police a heads up to possible problems and in case streets might need to be blocked off, traffic rerouted, etc.

I guess I'm in the minority but I do not feel bad for Hopper. It's karma for actively looking for ways to make El unhappy. He probably doesn't see it that way but the result is the same. Just be honest with El for once and maybe Joyce will show up for your next non-date.

I am sorry, you are wrong about them not needing a permit. If it were a smaller protest they would not but because it is causing a disruption in traffic flow many places require a permit.
