I think Vecna is growing stronger by using the trauma of his victims. Remember he told El that "001 found his strength in a memory that mad him sad and angry", and then after the massacre told her that everyone he killed is still with him. He's preying on those with pain to use their traumatic memories for his benefit and power.

Both people deserved to be punished for their cruelty, but the punishment went a little too far. The difference between El and Papa is that El was horrified at what she'd done while Papa kept going.

Imo hes attacking the teens because when he consumes the minds of his victims he feeds off of their trauma and anger. Just like he told El to think of a memory that made her angry so she could gain strength. But as we learn Eleven doesn't feed off of anger, she gained her strength when she remembered her mother telling her she loves her.

It was clever of the writers because, while Creel Jr was right in our faces, we live in 2022 and have been with the main cast so long we kind of forget they are in the 80s. Creel’s family flashback is announced as 1959 and their home and costumes are so dated that we automatically think “the 50s were a million years ago” - but they were not in 1979. Obvious but clouded. I think 001 was also used to “father” each of the numbers including 11. Brenner was trying to recreate him so of course he would use his DNA for test tube babies.

Her mother was pregnant before she started the MKUltra trials with Brenner and eleven is stated to have received her powers inherited from her mothers own extremely diluted preternatural abilities amplified by the use of psychedelic drugs while in utero. While never stated in show elevens birth father in the stranger things novel is a soldier who was shipped off to Vietnam shortly before Terry takes part in the experiments. I understand that isn’t stated in the show and it could be a different story, it still doesn’t make sense for eleven, since it is known plot wise that she would have already been a growing fetus by the time Terry was in the hands of Dr. Brenner.

For some reason none of the children can actually hurt Dr Brenner on purpose. Even number one who broke down the door and killed the child in the room with him but not him. Same as he was so confident walking up to Eleven in episode 5 after she took out those guards

The twist was predictable, but I don't think it's a bad thing. Some people place too much importance on unpredictability. I'd rather a predictable well written story that follows the rules it sets than some bad twist you never saw coming.

Just a theory but could the reason why vecna hated those kids and hated everyone that hurt 11 was because he was possibly her father and that's how he knew about her mother, he knew she was the most powerful and also wanted to set her free and then free him wanted to have her join him. Maybe Henry didn't want anything to do with that also because that's super invasive to make him father a child in the interest of making them into weapons. I think that's why he was so against Dr Brenner because maybe Dr Brenner did lie does hurt him and then had to see the error of his ways. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Idk idk

I feel like compared to her moms age that he's way too young, I think he just views her as an equal; an odd one out who has far more potential than others give her credit. So, he think she'd have the same mindset of her to get out of this place and get kill all those who tried to hurt her; but he was wrong. That’s not really a part of the “ritual”; what happens is more akin to the tiny male raping the huge female while she’s distracted and once he’s done, trying to get away before she knows he’s there, because she just sees him as more food, and usually they can’t get away unnoticed. Less “extreme mating” and more “free food”. Small comfort to the male spiders just doing what they’re supposed to, though…

I probably misunderstood the story told, but I understood it as all of the children are number one's offspring. He chose the 2 that he deemed to be superior to send out, maybe in hopes of eventually getting out that way...when they came back to end papa. Then she surprised him by using her power to take his doggy collar off. I am thinking he got his "power" from his mother's side. Like when you're born different and taught to continuously hide it. Maybe the mother has used her power for what she considered evil, and that's how he could get to her. He might also be extra angry at her for being "weak" and not doing more with what she had. He could have been a monster or a hero, and eleven has the same chance. Luckily, she has been treated in a different way, and isn't beyond hope. Maybe he has a little respect for Nancy, as much as he possibly can for a normie. I think he finally found a home in the hive, and really does believe it's a good choice for those that don't fit in. I was wondering if the organic and psychic material that comes through mixes with what already exists there makes the life forms.

Apparently the Duffers make edits and sort of overwrite the episodes even after they’re live. They said most changes are pretty minor, but it’s interesting to try to figure out what changed. 😳

I dunno, Doctor Doom is best when his face is hidden beneath his mask, and this guy’s face is too scary to be hiding behind a mask for the extreme lengths that Doom does. As far as his behavior, you’re right on, although I think a villain with a more exposed face might be better suited: Magneto, Norman Osborn, and my wife and I already considered The Joker.
