I agree Steven. I do understand SOME of Jason's thought process. He's utterly fucking terrified, his gf died in a real horrible way, and now he witnessed his friend die the same way. He has absolutely no idea about the upside down or of Vecna so like, how would we be?? And at the time, D&D was being sterotyped as 'devil worshipping'. Just sayin....I don't condone him going around town being an idiot and hurting people, but I understand his frustration and fear.

I loved the Lord Of The Rings reference in this episode. I was about their age at the time and, nerdy as I was, I had read the books (twice, first in Swedish then in English), but pretty much only nerds new it at the time, but now almost everybody gets the references because of the films, so it's realistic and easy to understand - great writing!

I think I screamed like a fangirl (which I totally am 😅) when Eddie made the LoTR reference. 😂 And Steve going "What is Mordor?" was so funny. I didn't know about it until the first movie (I was 14 when it came out) and then read the books before the second one came out. It completely blew my mind and opened a whole new world for me. The Silmarillion is still my favorite book ever (I know I'm weird).

AHHH your reactions always make my day. Especially for this show. Love you guys ❤️ Nancy and Robin’s friendship is honestly one of my favorite things of the season. It’s so nice to see Nancy interact with someone her age who is also a girl again 🙈. Lucas and Max are really the best couple of the season. They’re so realistic and their moments are beautifully done. Also, Max wanting to see Steve shirtless is perhaps one of my favorite comedic moments of the entire series. That ending tho… I was at the edge of my seat because Steve is my favorite character (aside from Joyce). Can’t wait for the next one 🥰

My own personal fan theory: Jason gets blamed for all the deaths...because of something we haven't seen yet. But he was there for one of the deaths but he's closely connected to 2 of the dead. Maybe he was friends with who Fred didn't save in the car accident? He's ranting and raving about devil worship too.

People are still afraid of Ouija boards too! The gang goes to Suzie's house because the tone from the phone call reminded them of War Games. War Games was with Matthew Broedrick and Ally Sheedy. Suzie's sister Eden gives off a strong "Ally Sheedy" vibe, especially with her iconic looks from the Breakfast Club.

I think Jason's conclusion that Eddie is in some way responsible for the murders is actually the logical conclusion based on the information he has. Eddie was present at both the death of his girlfriend and the death of his friend, so I can definitely understand his blaming Eddie even though he is of course totally wrong.

For the next episode, I would just try to remember what they said earlier at the prison, how there were people before them who fought the demogorgon and had the same last supper. Plus, I don't think we even know how many people went up against the demogorgon earlier, could be 12, could be 1000. 1000 seems like a lot of fighting for that demogorgon.

I kinda hope that Jason, Chrissy's misguided jock/future-politician boyfriend, has a moment of redemption on the level of Steve in season 1, even if we don't see the guy in season 5. Remember when Steve had his crash course in the existence of monsters, and he came back into the Byers' house with a spiked baseball bat to help Nancy and Johnathan fight the Demogorgon? Jason can be annoying as fuck, but he at least adjusted his views from not believing in the supernatural side of things to "Eddie's a vessel for Satan" in order to explain the death of his teammate. As obnoxious as his presumptions about Eddie and his speeches are, it makes sense that Jason is also very traumatized and trying to explain the unexplainable, and he has the potential to come around to the truth if he witnesses more. Of course, as he's traumatized, Jason might also just become Vecna's next victim.

Stranger things is one of the best series i have ever watched and i only bothered to watch it last year after i broke up with my ex partner (as she didnt want me watching anything with females in it in skimpy outfits etc, yes it was toxic af) i think Max has been the best character since she came in season 2, season 4 though she is blowing up!
