I'm 68 this coming March and my wife is 64... we had a similar thing out of the blue 8 years ago with my wife ending up being admitted to ECU twice... we have come out of it but let it me known these things happen like a vortex you can't get out of..I had previously gone through life (albeit with many struggles) reasonably unscathed I now consider and my outlook has changed for the better in what it financially cost in a very mirrored image... As my older son says sh/t happens..I speak from business experience of 40 years in the UK...and never take no for an answer and look to resurge! Happy New Year to you both!

Daughter is home from college, so we're not where you are yet, but as far as coping, as a non-drinker, and not putting a depressant in my body, I feel really good every day, mentally sharp and happy, so there's that to be thankful for. Much love to you both!

Aloha! Without kids we travel to Hawaii during Christmas - different island each trip. Flying on Christmas day are the cheapest flights all year.

Our 2nd year in 32 years without anyone here. Time flies & the kids and now grandkids too, have grown. Everything changes, adaptation occurs, sometimes more difficult emotionally (of course)...but it's not an option for us at our age to wither away depressed because we know we are wasting precious time.
